My only criticism is not being able to access the bedside light switch which was behind the headboard. Minor issue

Very little not to like about this hotel apart from 2 flights of fairly steep stairs to get to my room but you can’t do anything about that !

Very comfortable and clean room, great blackout blinds that really work and had an Excellent nights sleep. Big fluffy towels and really nice shower gel and soaps. Room equipped with a generous selection of coffee and tea. Breakfast was superb. Great location.

The extractor fan was a bit noisy at night, but it was very wet and windy and I think the wind was blowing through the vent.

Very welcoming, exceptionally clean, in room and public areas. Comfortable bed, great facilities, fab bathroom. Lovely breakfast with good choices, served with a smile..nothing was too much trouble

Only downside was the large quantity of bird mock on the car in the morning using the car park behind the pub. Nothing the staff could do about it. I would recommend parking on the street.

One quibble: the mirrors in both the bedroom and bathroom were placed too high on the wall. I'm short and I could only see the top of my head in them! As they were both very big mirrors they could easily have been placed a foot or so lower without preventing tall people from being able to see themselves. See last two photos.

Excellent location and great service both at breakfast and in helping me to get my luggage up and down the stairs. Very spacioius bedroom with quirky décor (which might not be to everyone's liking!).

I slept really well but a light sleeper may not room near the extractor fan. Enjoyed the happy noises from pub below which closed at 11pm.

Great location by train station above a friendly local pub. Breakfast was delicious. Service friendly and quick.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spotlessly clean and very quiet, even though it was above a pub. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and definitely a highlight of our stay. The whole place has a warm, cosy atmosphere that makes you feel at home straight away. We would happily come back again and highly recommend it!

The pub the stsff keira was amazing very helpful 👌 our room 6 was amazing thr decor was to my taste 😋 bed was so bloody comfortable we didn't want to get out of bed 😀 breakfast was fantastic will definitely recommend and we will be back to stay a huge thank you we loved our stay 😀

Lovely pub with excellent cider and an extensive outdoor seating area. Super friendly staff, incredible breakfast (especially the doggy brekkie) and impeccable service. The owner served us for breakfast and she couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful, especially with our new puppy! She was very understanding when I had to confess that the puppy had chewed her “Do not disturb” sign. 100% recommend!
