Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArmeniaYou need to setup a conditioner, the weather in London was +33degrees, it was unbearable.
It was freshly renovated and clean, has all you might need, all working. Thank you very much for your care with leaving a socket adapter! Towels are excellent, want same for home!

Clean, close to bus and underground public transportation since Uber/taxi are expensive in London

IrelandBlinds do not block out light. The soundproofing is average, but the guests are quiet, so it's fine.
The bus stop is right on the doorstep. The metro and train are slightly further away. But buses cover most of the area so it's ok. There are many shops nearby, so it's easy to buy. The room is fully equipped and clean.

United KingdomNothing!
This is a bit of a bargain if you are a solo traveler. The location is great - you can walk into the city in 30 minutes or get the train there in 5/10. The location is on a busy road but Elephant and Castle is an increasingly up and coming area so there are a wide range of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. There are supermarkets and convenience stores, too. The shower is warm and powerful and the key lock system is very secure and convenient. Highly recommended!

United KingdomThere seems to be little in the way of sound insulation, ear plugs are a must. The main door onto the street could do with some sign writing to let you know you have found the entrance. The entrance is between 2 shops so it wasn't easy to find.
The location in relation to the Highline Building,my son is currently a student living there while studying in London. It's only a 5 minute walk from the room to the student accomadation.

The apartment is very well priced. Located 25 minutes from Tate Modern and Southwark on foot. The apartment was very clean, well fitted out with good cooking facilities and storage. Very impressed compared to others I have used in London. Would recommend them and use them again

ItalyThe sofa bed is basically replaced by three folded cushions to be placed (without legs) on the floor. In the end it proved comfortable enough, but not really practical
We stayed 2 nights in the mini flat which is opposite the bus stop and the metro is a 10 minute walk away. The flat is small, the bed is a single with a basic sofa bed. The bathroom is comfortable, the view is on the main street (quite busy) and there are both microwave oven and iron. We slept well.

FinlandAs a women i would have appericated to have a full body mirror in the room. Got pretty hot but luckily u could open the window for some fresh air!
-Felt safe as a solo traveller. Mc donalds is open 24/7 & located in front of the apartment. The police station was right behind it. You can hear the police/ambulance often but personally it didint bother me. -Check in was super easy & i had no problems with it. Customer services replyed to my questions before my arrival in a couple of hours. -London prices are high so this is a valuable option. -My room looked exactly like the pictures. Enough for one person. -Good location. I would stay here again!

GermanyIt's practical rather than stylish. Value for money could be improved upon but by London standards it was still somewhat affordable.
Convenient check-in process, great appliances and overall impressive cleanliness. I liked the area close to the tube, yet not in the eye of the touristic storm and as a female solo traveller I felt safe throughout my stay. I'd come back!

United KingdomThe beds where a bit stiff and getting up the narrow stairs with luggage was a bit of a hassle, but these were minor issues.
The apartment is modernly furnished with everything you could need. It was very tidy, clean and looked great. From the outside the apartment building might raise some eye brows, but once inside, it is beautifully done and we enjoyed our stay. The owner was exceptionally helpful, gave clear instructions and responded quickly to all my questions. It is very close to just about anything you could need with an exceptional park and dining facilities just up the road.

GermanyWe arrived pretty late at night and felt a little but uneasy in the neighborhood, but soon we realized that there was a police station nearby so we felt a little bit safer.
It was just what we needed for a short stay in London. The apartment can accommodate up to 4 persons. We were 3, so it was ok because the couch could be made into a bed. The property owner was very nice to help us with any questions we had during our stay. Also right in front of the accommodation there are a few bus stop. The nearest underground station was 10 minutes away by foot.
