messaged and asked for low level or disabled twin no reply. Three different rooms tried all doubles, I'm hardly able to walk due to M.E. and hypermobility with very weak legs. Exhausted by the time I got a twin room. Bath too short unable to soak my legs to ease pain. Sleepless night due to pain and not enough tea bags. PLEASE READ YOUR MESSAGES.

The door key didn't properly work, the cupboards had chunks missing out of it, the bathroom door was stiff wouldn't shut properly and no fan in the toilet.

Good things - beds were comfy-ish,, there was a TV and the location was good for surrounding attractions.

I paid over £100 more for the same room for the same amount of nights as friends did. I ordered food and the hotel didn't have cutlery so we couldn't eat our food. They charged us £45 for parking but told other guests could park free on the street. We asked for smoking room baring in mind we booked 6-7weeks ago to be told first come first served

Bed was comfy and bathroom was nice

Two single bed pushed together to make a double. Very small TV that only took a Scart input. The plumbing was the loudest from the room next door. The decor and furniture was from the 70s and that's not quality vintage, more worn and overused. So much so they have to mix it up with some modern pieces and it looks a mess. Had to change the room three times and finally settled on the last one with it having similar problems to the previous. But the staff were kind so it was more settle and not pile on the stress and pressure.

Staff and the room was very clean. The location is good

Room was dirty, very dusty, carpet was also dusty, walk to room surroundings were everywhere. No hotel ambitious, parking area full of fubbish.

Staff were very helpful. Hotel is under renovation, no sitting /lounge or bar to sit but price was worth it. Beddings were not clean, room was dusty, no toilet roll but managed to pick up some at reception. Two little duvets, no room to stretch the duvet on a double bed. Nice teas and coffees in the room. Availability of iron & ironing board was a massive plus. d.

The room given on first night was very dirty, carpet was having stains and it stinks. Bathroom is without extractor.

Receptionist Martha was great , when I complained about my room, she has given me another with window that was relatively better.

I assume there where some renovations going on but the dining hall (not being used due to COVID) was full of mattresses and furniture the stairs leading to our room where covered in dust and bits of plaster and seeing no work force around for the 2 night stay would have assumed it could have been cleared in that time. The room was fine although the bathroom smelled very odd as of it had been burnt or a fire! The sealant around the bath was black with mould.

After being double booked at our original hotel we found space at the Britannia straight away and got booked and checked in within 10 minutes very nice lady treated us and ran through everything with us. Perfect location Separate bathroom on our room which was a nice touch

Friendly staff. Location is good. Potential parking (but not guaranteed) bed was clean.

Parking can be a pain. If you are coming after 5pm you maybe lucky to get a spot in the small car park. The road next to the hotel is free parking from 6.30pm until 8am. Again you maybe lucky to get a spot. Other options are to use ‘Just Park App’ to find cheap parking but you might need to park 10 mins away and walk to the hotel. I’d advise you to get your parking on just park app and just go to the hotel. You don’t want to waste time driving around in the traffic hoping to find a spot.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times. It’s cheap and has parking - if you get there earlier enough for a space and parking comes with cheap rates. The rooms are clean and old fashion and bed is standard. Showers decent and does the job I use this hotel literally to sleep - 7 hours and I’m out early morning. I spend no time in the room or hotel other then to sleep. This is a hotel is use when I’m on my own for work. Cheap and does the job.

Facility is dated and undergoing refurbishment, over night quite noisy I could ear every door that was open, bathroom as dated as the rest of the facility

Staff was marvelous very welcoming and kind, loved the water pressure as I'm used to strong jets on the shower and the bed very comfortable
