The shower was intermittent and the walk into town was a bit longer than we thought.

Karen was very friendly and welcoming. She suggested places to visit especially family friendly places and had lots of leaflets on local attractions. The breakfast was very good. Bed was comfy and we slept very well. Our bedroom was peaceful and quiet. Although the house is situated on a main road, we couldn't hear the traffic whatsoever. Relaxing stay.

Rather a long walk (just over a mile along road with pavement only part of the way). Parts are unlit. Not so good walking ona dark autumn night.......

Excellent range of choices for breakfast. Karen and Andy are very friendly

Just the walking in the dark really. No fault with accommodation.

Lovely welcome. Information about the area. Good plentiful breakfast. Nice walk into Bowness. We got a taxi back to Brooklands as it was dark and no footpath.

The parking was tight and the walk to Bowness in the dark was a bit dangerous without pavements.

Very unpleasant 3 night stay! - shower wouldn't work properly kept going from hot to cold - toilet was old, rusty and wouldn't flush - bed sheets full of dog hairs - quilt cover like a thin blanket - location is out the way from boweness - tiny room (no space) - unpleasant view (room 1) - tv - no signal (bad) - mattress awful Definitely would not recommend or visit again! (Especially room 1)

The B&B was very tired wall paper hanging off and a damp smell soon as you enter the property. The view from room 9 but according to the write up you can see the lake my photo is the lake view.

    Been out and about.

As this was a dog friendly B&B but there were no additional facilities e.g. water bowl, pet rugs. Dogs were required to stay in rooms at breakfast which was not acceptable as the reason for choosing a dog friendly B&B was so they were able to be with me. I had the room at the very top of the house, up 3 flights of stairs which wasnt ideal going in and out with the dog. On arrival the water was off due to a plumbing issue which spanned 6pm - 8pm approximately. The bathroom was so small I couldn't use the shower.

    The view was lovely.

Decor and furniture drab. "En suite" was sink in bedroom, minuscule shower cubicle with toilet crammed into same tiny area...would not be suitable for larger-framed people. Parking difficult. Poor value for money...disappointing.

The b&b is a 15 minute walk away from the town centre and a few roads on the way don't have a pavement, meaning that you have to walk on the main road watching out for cars - not ideal, particularly with a small child. The shower was really noisy. We didn't manage to switch on heating during certain hours. It worked in the evening and at night but didn't seem to work during the day, so the room was quite cold.

Karen who runs the b&b is lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was made to order and was very good. The place is very family friendly, children are very welcome.
