Rooms a little outdated. Nothing serious, but could do with getting someone in to do the little things, I.e renew the sealant in the bathrooms, fit sockets near the bed. Replace outdated chairs etc.

Staff very polite and helpful. 10min drive to city centre. Clean and tidy.

The man on check in thought we were trying to bring in another dog as we'd booked 2 rooms but only had the one dog, He charged us for 2 anyway! The man had gone when we got back to the hotel later with my daughter who gad the other room and coukd quite clearly see we only had the one dog, I told her that the man over charged me, so she gladly refunded me. The only other issue we had was that we'd stayed in this particular room before ladt year and the air conditioning wasn't working then, it's still not, since then though, one beside light was nearly hanging off and the other side bedside drawer was nearly hanging off.

It's location is ideal for visiting family. They are always friendly and dog friendly too.

The only downside was the night staff. We came back to the hotel around 10pm and after simply asking if room service was available, the lady behind reception was extremely abrupt, cold and to be frank quite rude. Everything else was brilliant, especially for the price

Really easy location to find, close to multiple methods of transport and just off the M1 but far enough from it to be quiet. Good facilities, very aesthetic and extremely clean. Sheena behind reception was amazing, really polite, extremely helpful and brought a laugh and smile to the faces of my wife and I instantly.!

Shower over bath. Would have preferred a separate shower. Mattress was too hard for the wife. Toilet flush not great.

The only thing I could say that is negative about this hotel is the flooring in reception. Tiled flooring which potentially could lead to a slip hazard

This was a very brief business stop over with a late arrival and early departure. Check in and out was swift and the accommodation was exactly as I expected from an international group. Clean, well appointed and quiet.

No USB in room , but I provide my own. Barman (01/03/24) was fairly unwelcoming , offhand , and cheerless. Room was good , with comfy chair appreciated

Unfortunately there was a young farmers ball on at the same time which we wasn’t aware of so could hear the loud music till 2am. This wasn’t good that we had to be up at 6.30 for a dance competition. I think things like this when booking should be notified about

Bed was pretty awful. Not at all comfortable. Premier Inn beds so much better. 1 lift was out of order when we arrived on Friday night. The second lift went off Saturday night / Sunday morning, but was fixed thankfully before we checked out at 11.00am. didn't fancy lugging cases down stairs. Food in the restaurant was poor. My starter arrived and it was freezing cold and had to be sent back. My main course was an 8oz Sirloin steak (£22)., 4oz of which was effectively fat and inedible. My wife and daughter left their Mac and cheese £15 and chilli and rice again about £15. Chilli sadly looked like the stomach contents of someone who has had far too much to drink and has been ill 🥶. To be fair they did knock this off the bill as I refused to pay for it. All in all very sadly expensive poor quality food. Had the food been ok, I wouldn't have moaned at the price of it, but very poor value for money and poor quality. On the plus side, breakfast was very nice, with a range of fruit juices, pastries, cereals and a cooked breakfast. Cooked breakfast was generally pretty excellent with excellent scrambled and fried eggs and lovely Cumberland sausage and coffee from the machine was also pretty decent. All in all a decent effort and similar quality to many pricier hotels I have stayed at Hotel looks a little bit dated and in need of a refurb especially in the corridors and lift lobbies. Lobby / reception area looked very clean and was well presented I have to say. Lifts had no landing indicators so when you pressed the lift call button on the landing there were no working indications as to whether the lift was actually working. It was press the button, wait and hope the lift was working. Room looked pretty decent and appeared well furnished and was very clean (hats off to the cleaners who look after the rooms on the 1st floor). My 11 year old daughter ended up in a camp bed which she didn't appreciate. Would I stay here again.....

Staff were very polite and courteous. My wife had her guide Dog with her and staff did not distract the guide dog without asking if it was ok to say Hello. 5* Thank you.
