It seems all the staff the night we stayed were brand new. The lady behind the bar had never even pulled a pint before, bless her (and so didn’t realise the gas wasn’t on.) The rooms could do with a bit of love or a mini makeover. They didn’t seem to match the modern decor of the lounge, bar and restaurant. Also, the restaurant menu needs more vegetarian options (though I very much appreciated the milk alternatives and dairy-free yogurts at breakfast!)

The lounge, bar and restaurant areas are lovely, the location is absolutely stunning and the building itself is unique and historic.

The room was as expected, comfy beds. I thought that the breakfast was included as part of the price that I paid, but when going for breakfast, realised that I had to pay (this was not clear when making the booking). Breakfast was expensive and was busy as there was a big wedding party there too.

Drink served in dirty glass with lipstick on it. Cutlery in dining room not clean.

English breakfast items cold, when informed plate was put in the microwave. Fire in the toster. Lovely fresh fruit and some other items. Container with supposed hot water had cold water on second morning.

It isn't I didn't like it the hotel is very tired, was damp and mould behind curtains a good refurb would help but I would stay again. The drinks in the hotel bar were very expensive think this is very overcharged

Rooms need updating , radiator not working in our room so had to be moved to another room and given heaters , bathrooms need renewing, must have been water damage sometime as door would not shut properly. Lovely property in great location but need to be updating the rooms like the common areas .

Went with my elderly parents. Booked rooms at same time but we're at opposite ends of hotel. Mix up at ( very slow) reception meant they were given wrong room with only one set of towels. Not great value for money.

The Bed had springs digging in our backs and just couldn't get comfortable. Another room we saw that other members of our party were in had a mattress topper but ours sadly didn't. The room seemed clean but just tired.

The hotel has a dedicated car park which is NOT included in the price even though there is no obvious nearby public transport. The breakfast staff were quite slow to refill the buffet, especially the oranges for juice & water jugs

Very comfortable bed & bedding in my room. The bathroom was clean & well-equipped. There is a heated outside pool onsite. There are many countryside walks nearby.
