The hotel decor was a bit all over the place - not as stylish as it should be for a city of Birmingham's size and pretension. The bedroom was certainly big but the bed was VERY uncomfortable.

The location of this hotel is just superb. It is more or less in the Train Station - although that is not immediately apparent on leaving the train or looking around the concourse. More should be done to emphasise the proximity to the Station - it is a strong selling point. The dining room staff were exceptionally nice - we seemed to be the only people there for dinner and the fish was simply delicious and cooked beautifully - Portuguese chef. It deserves to be better utilised.

Mini fridge, kettle and tea and coffee provided but hidden in cupboard so we didn’t even know it was there until check out

Beds are super soft and comfortable; best sleep either of us have had in a long time. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, rooms are clean with Elemis bathroom products and fresh towels. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

There was some building work going on with scaffolding covering each of the windows. The work didn't start too early so it wasn'y an issue.

An absolutely superb location for New St station. Walk out of the door, over the tramway and you're there. I was given a free upgrade so the room was huge with separate lounge and one of the biggest showers I've used. Didn't eat in the hotel that night as there are many places just a short stroll away. Tried some Indian street food at the Streatery which was very trasty. Breakfast is served to your table with many choices although some incur a supplemental charge. I had porridge followed by the full English and everything was cooked well and presented nicely.

The hotel was in a perfect location to a concert I was attending. Staff were polite, the room was big enough for me. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was immaculate. Would stay again.

Initially hard to find as not familiar with Birmingham. Parking near but one way system made it hard to navigate.

Expecting 4star room with room service. Sadly left with no evening meal due to a new cooker being installed. No compensation offered. Would have appreciated a gesture of goodwill.

Only issue we had was both rooms were uncomfortably hot. We couldn't control the temperature so was stuck to heat when we all woke up we was sweating and felt uncomfortable and 3 out of 4 of us have been ill since

The lady on reception was very welcoming and made check in so easy. The hotel had a beautiful clean smell to it

Our room had lots of scaffolding around and I was unaware of this prior to booking. With the wind something kept banging on the window outside.

Only negative was our room 322 was an adjoining room and the guest in the room next door could have been in our room. He was only talking but we could hear everything being said as if he was in the room with us, a little off putting.

Convenient location. Really friendly staff and offered restaurant recommendations. The room was really comfortable, great nights sleep.

The coffee machine didn’t heat up so was cold coffee & also very fidley. The shower was on highest temperature but was only luke warm. No access to windows or aircon, we had to go to reception at 11:30 at night to request a fan & also to get some fresh air as the room was stuffy.

Building work at the hotel meant we had scaffolding that was sheeted off across all of our windows which meant there was no view out at all - particularly unsettling was that the builders would walk past the windows throughout our stay. Considering we’d paid for a suite this was a bit disappointing as we’d hoped to at least be able to see out of the windows.

The location in the centre of Birmingham was great and the character of the building was also good. Breakfast was excellent on both mornings and the staff were pleasant.
