It does need a revocation in next 5 years. Can except through a difficult few years that the hotel how it is, but does not put off visiting.

The spa facilities were free to use as guest. Room 10 was quiet, clean and peaceful. Comfortable bed. Welcoming staff. Friendly town. Parking on-site free. Well worth the money.

The sauna was not warm enough, on the second time a local went to get them to turn it up. Some of the gym equipment didn't work properly

The Burton looks like it was given a makeover in the early 90s by someone with no interior design skills whatsoever, and has not been refreshed since. I mean, just LOOK at that bathroom. Bed slightly uncomfortable, although I did like that it came with a swan fashioned from towels sat on it.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, plenty of parking space, cheap bar. Best of all, if you like to keep fit while on an away trip, it’s attached to a really excellent gym that you can use as part of the deal. Breakfast (also included in price) wasn’t bad too, although nobody is going to mistake this place (or Kington in general) for a gastronomic hotspot. Room was very clean and tidy. But although Kington itself is not a hot spot, it is a very well located hub for walking, visiting castles and stately homes and, if you like that kind of thing, playing golf. The town has a nearby golf club that is at a higher altitude than any other golf club in England – what golfer could resist that? The course also has the Offa’s Dyke trail running across it, so you could conceivably combine hiking AND golf in one place. Not only is Kington a great walking hub, it also has a great shop called The Walking Hub, which sells everything a walker could need. The range is small and on the premium side, but the proprietor has very carefully curated what she sells and the quality is consistently excellent. Other top local recommendations are Hergest Ridge (Mike Oldfield fans take note) and its nearby tea shop and gardens and, well… that’s it really. The Co-op is handy, I guess.

The upgraded room towards back of hotel was very nice, However a bit of noise from room above appeared to be some one living in that accommodation. Rooms in main hotel could do with a bit of updating
