perfect tranquil location within easy walking distance of lovely ballater. Dog friendly and good immediate local woodland walks. A great base if you want to sightsee, go walking or cycling on / off road. The hosts were very pleasant and the accommodation was very clean and well equipped. Also had a dishwasher which was nice. Parking was easy too with lots of space to do so. Price was really good for standard of accommodation

Beautiful spacious cottage in a great location. Perfect for a couple. Huge comfy bed with the BEST pillows! Lovely walk into Ballater. Lots of walks round about if you have a dog with you. Claire is a fantastic host, helpful and informative. Will definitely be back

We didn't expect as many properties close by, the neighbours were noisy early in the morning starting cars and dogs barking. But it is the country side so to be expected.

We liked everything!

The cottage is beautiful; very clean and stylish. The bed is extremely large and comfortable. This was literally our best nights' sleep for a long time. Luxury white, fluffy towels were provided along with luxury bath and shower soaps. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We had a relaxing stay whilst being close enough to walk to Ballter, cycle for miles and enjoy Braemar Games.

The ONLY thing was there was no electrical plug socket below the mirror in the bedroom which meant it was difficult to use the hair dryer!!

The location was ideal for our reason on coming to the area. We were visiting golf clubs in Banchory. Aboyne, Braemar and Ballater.

The only thing I can think that I did not like, was the coffee machine. I would have preferred filter coffee. A minor thing though, and probably one of taste.

The cooking facilities were great. We like making meals ourselves and were surprised by the facilities. Plenty pots and pans, an oven and even a dishwasher!

We couldn't fault the place, though the sloping ceilings in the bedroom could challenge taller visitors.

Located on a quiet rural property a few kilometers from Ballater, it is ideally located for exploring the upper Dee Valley and Cairngorms. The unit is modern, clean and well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen and living room downstaiirs and large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The bed was very comfortable. Good wifi. Parking space right outside the front door. The owner gave us clear directions and check-in instructions and ensured our stay was trouble free.
