Communal shower block could do with an upgrade. It was clean and looked after, however would benefit putting up some spaces, or shelves to put your items, (key, glasses etc) whilst you are having a shower. In the pod, a few nice touches, a small kettle and cups would be good. Lighting by the pods could be improved at night, in places it was pitch black walking to the communal WCs.

A better version of camping, in a pod. Lovely site and so close to Dawlish Warren, which is beautiful. Great that it was dog friendly too.

As a group of 5 families with 5 pods with young children we were really disappointed to be placed on the road. We input the ages of the children when booking so placing us on the gravel road where we had to constantly be aware of cars made the holiday more stressful we hoped it'd be. If placed by the field it would've been perfect.

The shared toilets were pretty gross but the showers were good with good water pressure. The pool felt dirty - plasters, fake eyelashes and lots of hair gathering at the sides meant we got out early the second day and didn't go back in.

Location to the beach, the peaceful atmosphere and the actual pod was cosy, comfortable and clean. Staff so nice too. Entertainment for the kids was great.

Only 1 shower worked in the male bathrooms and it wasn't great either, making it hard to get a good clean after a beach day, swimming in the pool or just enjoy a warm shower. I enquire reception a couple of times, I was told the problem was been fix but it wasn't while I was there. The showers don't have anything to place your clothing on while you are showering except for 2 hooks where your towel, the clean clothes and the dirty ones you just took off are ment to hung. Cubicles often have no toilet roll in them and the same stains from one day to the other. Inside the camp there are no pavements to walk on, so all the walking is done through the roads,

The pods are bigger than they look, and the campsite entertainment is quite good. Pizzas in the restaurant are great!. The beach and shops are a very comfortable short walk away. Prices in the campsite are reasonable.

The way some people disrespected other people using the same toilets and left them in a right mess. I felt sorry for the staff that have to clean up after people like that.

We loved the area, Staff and facilities. As a family we all had a great time.

That you could only book swimming on the day. Very inconvenient that you had had to queue at the pool to book it at 9am Surely could have an app instead to book your slot

Our pod was just a little too far from the facilities and would have been brilliant if you provided a kettle.

Communal toilets/showers still dirty after ‘being cleaned’, other pods had outside tables ours didn’t, beds not comfy, messaged owners twice before our stay worth no response. No info emailed to us, so unaware what pod we were when we arrived.

The shared toilet and shower facilities, have seen better days. Not as clean as I would have liked, doors missing, some didn’t lock, not all showers worked. This was the only thing that spoilt the experience.

We absolutely loved staying in a pod. This was our 4th visit to Golden Sands but our first glamping experience and we’ll definitely repeat this! Very clean accommodation, proper beds and the option to just sit and chill, was perfect.
