The sauna was broken the whole time of our stay which was disappointing. Liked it much better when large groups were not staying there

The breakfast was very good and a lot of choice Service was good too. The staff in the lounge were super friendly and helpful and loved the views from the room.

Just two minor things. The double bed could have been a bit larger. I think it was king sixe, not super king size. And the sauna in the spa was not working.

The location is amazing by the riverside and also a very short drive to the beach. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious with a view on the driver.

Limited plant-based/vegan choices on main menu - but understand most restaurants in area cater for main stream.

Another fabulous super - relaxing stay - the lovely warm welcome from James made us feel we've arrived to see old friends!! Thank you!! The most comfortable beds, lovely soft pillows and luxurious linen ensures a great night's sleep. Delicious breakfast choices. Exceptional friendly service and staff.

We were upgraded as it was our honeymoon. We had to wait a little bit longer for check in even though we had requested an earlier check in but the upgraded room certainly made up for the delay. The staff were really attentive and we had a lovely time. Thank you for making our honeymoon very special. Breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately some of the choices on the menu the night before had run out but our food was very tasty. Overall an amazing stay and definitely a hotel that we would love to visit again.

Lovely breakfast, good range of hot and cold options, all delicious and very pleasant staff who made us feel welcome (the best scrambled eggs and eggs benedict we've ever had) and lovely cappuccino. Our accommodation was very spacious, spotlessly clean, excellent housekeeping service in our suite and the whole hotel (which smelled fragrant). Evening waiting and mixologist staff all customer focussed and friendly, fab cocktails (thank you Tommo and the other mixologist whose name unfortunately I don't know). The hotel is light and airy and I felt very comfortable and welcomed.

The room was excellent with river views. It was very big for a standard room and the washroom facilities were excellent. The breakfast was good and it's a 5 min walk from the town which has excellent places to eat.

The breakfast isn’t the greatest. We had runny scrambled eggs and the ingredients aren’t the greatest. Service is excellent though. The bar shuts at 11 on Friday and Saturday nights which is a bit early in my opinion. Midnight would be better if I’m being picky.

Fantastic weekend at the Captains Club. Staff are fantastic. Very helpful and relaxed.

Vegan halloumi at breakfast - could not even contemplate eating it. A vegan breakfast with mushroom, tomato, spinach, baked beans, avo is perfect - just lovely fresh veg is delicious and g ood enough!!!

Loved our stay - the best room yet!! So quiet and everything so comfortable, especially the bed and mattress!! Had a 2 night stay but felt like we were away for a much longer holiday! Thank you for the fabulous room - enjoyed every minute of our stay!

The Wi-Fi was slow. Nothing else

Super Friendly staff. Everyone was smiling and genuinely helpful. The hotel was clean and easy to access. There were small touches that I haven't seen in other hotels yet. Like a personalised card on the bed upon arrival. It was a very nice experience.
