Cosy comfortable clean cottage with fabulous car parking. Whisper quiet address with a busy village atmosphere. Very good access to supermarkets hotels & restaurants. David and Team were terrific hosts and very easily contacted via booking.com. Car parking at rear of cottage such a bonus!

Instructions to access property were non existent. We’re it not for a local we would still be standing in the rain.

The receipt of an email just before we were due to check out meant that we may not have met all the requests asked of our hosts. Better to have received the advice the night before. Small beer, but you requested feedback.

This was a lovely cottage in a quaint village with an excellent location right off the High Street. Easy to get to, easy to walk around, easy access to the public footpath leading to the arboretum -- wonderful all around. Very comfortable accommodations overall. We would definitely stay in this cottage with this host again. Thank you!

Central Village Cottage, The Corders, Moreton in the Marsh First impression was an extremely scruffy and smelly array of dirty and smelly recycling bags, bins and boxes almost filling the tiny front yard, adjacent to the front door. Your coat touched the bins as you walked to the front door from the gate. The second impression was, on entering the house, a strong smell of stale food cooking, like fried eggs in a greasy spoon cafe, in the kitchen and spreading to the rest of the house. This smell remained permanently. We needed the windows open most of the time to alleviate the stale cooking smell. Many of the windows were difficult to open because the locks and catches were broken or not fitted properly. I actually fixed one myself. The bedroom window blinds did not block out much light at all and so the bedrooms became like daylight about five a.m., waking us all up much too early. We tried to improvise ways of blocking out the light. The shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor, making it necessary to mop up afterwards. The fabric top of the ottoman in the living room was dirty. On our third day, a Monday morning, we were wakened about 7.30 am by pneumatic drills six feet from the front window. The gas board were digging up the road and pavement. The road was closed and the racket went on all day. It continued the following morning and all day. We ought to have been given a prior warning about this as I understand the street was leafletted some days before. In the back garden, the bolt on the gate was rusted up. It was difficult to open and almost impossible to slide the bolt back. Being in the property business myself, I know it would cost such a tiny fraction of only a month’s profit to fix all these problems. At such high rental prices - almost £300 a night, I don’t understand why holiday let landlords don’t want to provide the best experience possible for their customers.

Location was good, beds were comfortable. House was mostly clean.

Usually there are more clearer instructions in a binder for appliances, heating/cooling systems, locking/security. There was a binder but had manuals from manufacturers that were not clear to someone from another country.

    Great location
