To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomA cleanliness issue (just one thing, that I don't want to put here), Patio door didn't lock. People kept trying to log into our TV, meaning we couldn't watch anything. Several items missing from the kitchen, including oven gloves.
Bedrooms were great (although only one had a dressing table). Cleanliness was generally good. Staff were lovely. Overall, it was a lovely apartment.

United KingdomA few annoying issues. If you're a light sleeper try and book an upper floor room. We were on the 1st floor by the road and the traffic noise is very loud. The TV is not connected to an aerial so does not have any main TV channels, only Netflix. There is kitchen with an oven, however no oven glove was provided so we had to use a towel to take things out of the oven. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was switched on but did not work. There was no plug in the bathroom sink making it impossible to fill the sink with water. But the main let down was that there was no hot water on any of the mornings we stayed. When I brought this up with reception, they said we would need to wait for the boiler to reset which would take around 30 minutes. This isn't good enough when you have places to be. On the final morning of no hot water I spoke to reception again and they spoke to maintenance who told them it had been fixed but we'd need to wait for 30 minutes. This was at 10am and check out was at 11am so they said they could allow us an extra hour in the room however after 45 minutes there was still no hot water and we needed to leave. For the price you're paying this is unacceptable.
The location was great, very close to Battersea Power Station, Battersea Park, bus stops and the tube. Apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable.

TurkeyFirst night, the heating did not work and was not able to reach the landlord as the reception closes at 8 pm. Ac and central heating problem was not solved but after 2nd day the staff was able to place portable heaters at home which was more than enough.
Location was amazing. House was as it was on pictures and in good condition.

Room was spacious and clean - and well stocked with everything you could need - one of my colleagues staying in another room the same didn't have any bedding so at least I was able to let them use the extra bedding in the spare bed in the apartment I had booked as it was only me. Loved the bathroom, great shower with decent pressure
