Clean very well presented loved the decor

Having to go home!

The room was comfortable and well equipped. Quiet location with lots of off road, safe parking which was close to my room around the back of the main property. Had a very friendly greeting upon arrival. Breakfast was delicious and promptly served. Nothing was too much trouble. Had a relaxed atmosphere.

The building itself isn’t very soundproofed, you can hear the water flushing elsewhere etc but thankfully we had no issues with noise or noisy neighbours etc.

Personally I found the bed and pillows too hard - though my partner did not agree.

Service was excellent as was the evening meal we had. The decor in the room was very good.

Loved the location ,the room ( we had a twin room on the ground floor) , so very easily accessible for those less mobile . The room was lovely , even had a table and 2 chairs outside The staff were great , very friendly , and helpful

A fantastic family run hotel where nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful hosts. Everything from the room to the service and the food was truly exceptional. We were made to feel so incredibly welcome and couldn't have asked for more.

Everything, the accomodation was clean and cosy. The staff were lovely and we're always working hard to accommodate their guests, especially Harry, he's brilliant, all the staff were courteous and helpful. The food was lovely and the area was peaceful.

Nothing not to like!

Quiet location, good size room and bathrooms, plenty of parking space. We ate dinner in the pub and food was fantastic, staff friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and we will definitely book again. It is easy and not too expensive to get taxis to/from Harrogate but also only a 5/10 minute drive.

Did not like the top sheet then duvet/eiderdown. Constantly fighting against the sheet.

Room was spotless. Bed standard double but very comfortable. Was great to be able to sit outside on veranda. Food and restuarant excellent best steak I have had in years

There’s nothing to dislike about the chequers in as everyone goes out their way to make your stay very enjoyable

It’s the third time we’ve stayed here it’s central to most locations. Very friendly , good value for money and situated in the beautiful countryside. The food is very nice as well , evening meals and breakfast are very reasonably priced and well worth the money. We’ve had a lovely weekend away and will definitely be back again.

Nothing at All.

Clean and comfortable room. Table and chairs outside room to enjoy the summer evening. Breakfast Excellent very attentive staff suitable options for all diets . Had dinner both nights quality food good size portions served in a timely manner . Staff very good to take into consideration my diary free dietary request. Good location if visiting Ripon , Knaresborough and Fountains Abbey National Trust Unesco site. Location suited us as we completed Fountains Abbey Parkrun on Saturday morning and it was only 10 minutes drive away :-)

This was the second time we stayed at the Chequers Inn, and it did not disappoint. We were welcomed by friendly staff. The rooms are clean and beautifully furnished. The bar and restaurant are lovely, the breakfast we had was exceptional. Thankyou for a fantastic stay.
