First night I was kept awake half the night by the person as the walls are thin second night I did get a semi good night sleep but I feel the the bed needed a new mattress as I was lumpy bathroom had a nice shower but paint was peeling of the ceiling and walls.

I was in a convenient location to where I was travelling to and from

The hotel was like the Marie Celeste!! No staff anywhere in the morning, no exit through the front of the hotel it was all locked. We arrived back at 10.30pm to find the hotel locked up with the only entrance through the back and no lights anywhere!! very creepy

It was cheap! The bed was comfortable!!

Pub shut at like 7.30 and no food, but I get that in a village, that’s the way things are nowadays( let people know that in advance they will appreciate it. Didn’t like all the signs saying you can’t eat in you room or a fine is chargeable (can’t actually fine people with out a statement amount,, (agreement of contract law) so don’t think that’s appropriate! (They are everywhere!) for what’s a hotel for workers basically are rooms are a home for that time. Personally I would make them feel they can have food and a pleasant note just asking to put food in a certain bin outside (we’re not animals) also the area we were asked to eat in downstairs was locked. So Giving plates and cutlery in 100% of hotels I stay in is normal. This isn’t a crap review just what I think!! Also sort the lights out..👍

Good location nice old pub, staff we’re really nice, rooms were nice for the price also..

Outdated room and sealant around bath was mouldy . For the price was okay but could fix mouldy sealant fairly easily and without much expense.

Was homely and staff was friendly. Was okay for the price and bed was comfortable.

When we arrived, they couldn’t find our booking and then when we got to our room, it really was very basic, dusty and even some cobwebs! We had booked a family room with 2 double beds, but had to ask for additional towels and pillows (twice!), because there were only 2 of each! Some lights didn’t work and the bathroom door was so stiff it sounded like you were trying to break out!! Very “threatening” notices suggesting fines if you ate anything in the room (hot food understandable, but crisps/ snacks?!)…. very unrealistic when travelling with a child and when the hotel doesn’t offer food/ breakfast!

It is a charming looking old pub.

Did not appreciate making the traveller pay cash on arriving even after being booked through the company. Than also charged more than the price i reserved on booking.com! when our traveller asked for a receipt, they gave him a blank one to fill out himself! I assume to allow him to increase his expense claim. All very underhand. if your booking on behalf of a business then please aviod!

    room was okay.

I was telephoned and asked what time I would be getting there. I said around 8pm after dropping bags at airport. Then he explained he would not be there and how to get in to property via metal fire escape to first floor, saying our room which would be left open. Due to the layout, this meant going down a floor once inside and was really confusing. There was no one to meet us when we arrived, despite paperwork in room saying someone would be there until 11pm. The fire escape was dangerous as I walk with a stick. Did not feel safe having the firescape door being left open all night. Having to leave before anyone from reception arrived at work, the trip down the fire escape was more hazardous as the outside light was behind me and couldn't see the next step.

Unfortunately there were other VERY noisy guests laughing and talking loudly in their room from midnight-2am. I went into the hallway to ask them to be quiet but they didn’t hear. I used a cup before noticing how terribly dusty it was- it must have been there uncleaned for a long time. There was no bath mat so getting out of the shower I had to stand on the cold bathroom floor and dripped water all over it. also the bathroom bin was not empty when I arrived. Oh and lots of hairs in the bath and bed!

location was brilliant, staff welcomed me late in the evening and gave me a room upgrade due to low number of guests.
