The bedroom was much smaller than I expected - especially for the price and the neighbours noisy. The breakfast lacked the variety I expected. The coffee was cold. The gym was average. There were not enough staff. No one at reception when I and frequently guests were waiting for someone to man the bar - probably more of a problem when there is a large function running in another area.

The location is very pretty and the main building is good. The outdoor jacuzzi was lovely. The staff are friendly especially in the spa.

Bed was like a postage stamp and very uncomfortable. Only two pillows are available on the pushed together double bed No wifi is available in the Lodge....not good when phone signal on two different networks is poor in the area. Only 4 chanels on the tv worked due to lack of signal

Great for a quick escape to the west Yorkshire or if your due to fly from Leeds Bradford airport as its near by Friendly staff Food was lovely and reasonably priced even with the 10% automatic/optional gratitude tip

Rooms, Spa would need a bit of TLC. In the spa area the dehumidification mustn’t woke as the windows and door frames rotted through, the walls are damp and lights and socket screws etc badly corroded. Public toilets basic, restaurant was very dark, food was basic. Very expensive for what I found.

Staff and cleanness of Chevin was first class. Location was ideal to be out of the way from city life. It would look amazing in summer. Reception and bar area looks good with the log cabin effect

The food was very poor, the soup was cold, the chicken was dry and yorkshirepudding was missing and when it arrived it was cold. Not very enjoyable at all.. The bedroom was executive but the facilities i.e the bathroom was outdated, the furniture in the room could do with updating as it was all scratched. The view was nice as it looked out onto the lake

We got there late evening and I was hungry but I felt that there was not really much choice re food in the restaurant. Also the restaurant timings for serving food were fairly restrictive in terms of it did not stay open late, so felt a bit rushed to decide whether I wanted food or not. In the end I just had some fruit that we had brought with us

The cabin we stayed in was lovely. Clean, warm and welcoming, perfect for what we needed, given the purpose of our stay. The surrounding woodland areas were also beautiful, it felt like we were not in the UK, simply stunning, just a shame we only stayed one night so didn't get to experience the spa and the rest of the facilities properly.

location good for Leeds airport. Hotel room small but comfortable; the wall and ceiling seem like log cabin beams! Checking in - reception staff seemed very busy in a long phone conversation. The garden lounge is lovely to relax in (tho a bit cold, in early March). The hotel can do free parking for a pre-flight stay. and there's a back road route to Sentinel car park

I stayed in a cabin on my own and the front door had privacy glass or a sticker. I would have preferred a roller blind or something similar I felt a little exposed.

The staff were very friendly, the room was spotless. I had the best nights sleep, the bed was amazing and so comfortable.

The standard of food in the restaurant, at dinner, wasn't great. The fact that dinner came with our booking was a plus, but had we been paying the menu prices for the food we would have been less than satisfied. Breakfast was tasty - although a little cold.

The room was lovely. We stated in a deluxe-double, woodland lodge with hot tub. The room was lovely and warm. A few cleanliness issues (spider webs and dust) but nothing too concerning. Hot tub and decking was lovely.

Despite the fact that hotel is under refurbishment plus access to some facilities was expected to be limited, I however fail to understand how the fuse system in the bathroom is overlooked. Maintenance is often available next day to fix the issue. Inconvenience caused by freezing cold bathroom radiators was fairly compensated with late check out offer for free thankfully.

I am chronically ill and disabled individual. I used to stay in the hotel on the regular basis as love the location and spa facilities. Fresh air, peace and quiet.

Undercooked chips. Rest of food was lovely. Staff were lovely but several customers were swearing in the garden lounge and restaurant that went unchecked by management.

Not a huge criticism because overall I were impressed, but I think the small complimentary evening spa slot should be longer for residents, hard to cram everything in for the 1 hour. Felt a bit rushed
