You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

This stay exceeded our expectations! The staff were top of our list - helpful, attentive, charming, friendly and cheerful! The room was great with a very nice bed and bathroom. Good breakfast and a free pint if we didn’t want our room serviced. Right in the middle of town by the bus stop for trips and close to nice shops, cafes and walks. Absolutely lovely stay … those staff have done you proud!

United KingdomThe only reservation was we stayed on the ground floor of the cottage. And with it being an old building you could literally hear every footstep and creek in the floor from upstairs. Probably didn’t help that the people above couldn’t sit still and sound like they were throwing things around the room and decided to do it either late at night or 5 in the morning.
Was a nice stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful and couldn’t have done more for us. Food was great too.

United KingdomThe only downside was just that we were a bit disturbed by other guests having a loud argument late at night. You can hear quite a lot from the neighbouring rooms. The reception desk was very accommodating though and this was more of just an unfortunate circumstance!
The pub itself was lovely, and we really liked the fact that we were staying in the little cottage that has rooms out the back. The location was excellent and you could walk everywhere in Ambleside.

United KingdomI would have marked this place 10/10 but the breakfast was really disappointing. I was expecting a cooked element but there was none. Some cereal, some sad bread for toasting and drip coffee. Would have preferred ca. £10 off my stay and no breakfast tbh.
