This was our second stay and when we stayed before we preferred the room and was all very good. This room the tv didn't work and despite asking twice and a member of staff coming up once, it never did work while we were there. Also there was a party in one of the rooms on the saturday night at about 1 in the morning.

The location is perfect, as it is right in the city centre but on the edge of that and on the edge of residential which makes it a very quiet location. The restaurant is very good and the food is great. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and comfortable.

It was much smaller than we’re used to. Now car parking facilities; however the Harlequin car park they recommend was very safe and secure. Note it’s £18 a day but that’s the maximum you’ll pay in total even if you’re leaving your car there for a week!

The cleanliness and how the size of the room was organised to make it as comfortable as possible. We could not hear noise from the pub area if the property. In fact the pub itself was really comfortable. Great food, very helpful staff and a selection of around 12 draught beers, lagers and guinness.

At first we were unable to get our TV to work (had to get help with it which required some significant fiddling by a very helpful staff member). We also had to ask for toilet tissue to be topped up as well as toiletries.

The location was excellent; the staff was very friendly and attentive; and the en-suite bathrooms were lovely!

While the stairs might prove challenging for some, I did not consider them to be a big problem.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pub has a really nice feel. Very welcoming. Great place for a solo traveler.

No toothbrush, hard pillows, reception doesn’t answer on a phone, and when I came down to ask them to bring me something, they said they will call me back, but nobody did

Very cozy place with an excellent pub downstairs, the room design makes you feel very relaxed and bathroom is also great. The staff was friendly.

I had a one night stay here for work. The location was close to Exeter Central Station. The room was small and up to the third floor but absolutely gorgeous design and gorgeous little extras such as Nespresso machine, sweet treat and fluffy towels. I ate dinner in the restaurant which was also delicious as was breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend.

Great size room with character and a comfortable bed. Big fluffy towels, convenient location and clean. Nice extras that I didn't expect for the price such as Sky TV and minibar, Nespresso machine and lovely toiletries. Staffwere very friendly and breakfast was excellent.

Couldn't for the life of me get the TV working and the room was very cold/ heating controls were off and starting beeping like an alarm when I tried to fix. Small issues which weren't the end of the world. Found these issues too late in the evening and I'm sure staff would have helped to fix

Lovely rooms, very friendly staff and nice pub. Loved the thought behind a good experience including flapjacks and port on arrival. Breakfast was very solid. Exceeded expectations and would stay again

Blind broken in room was just hooked over top of rail, walls and door full off marks and dirt! Big crack above bed.. needed a refresh off paint. Air con kept buzzing loudly

The chimney fumes came through my open window as I was in room 18 under the roof. The tv volume had to be fixed by the receptionist. I did not receive a refill of English Breakfast tea bags for my second day. Next door's tv was right behind my bed which meant that I could hear everything they were listening to and this was football late at night. I was charged twice for the room and asked for a refund.

Not extra clean… the bathroom is tired, as the carpets and the floor of the pub was really not clean from the night before which is not great when you come down for breakfast
