United KingdomOil heater in my room did not work The lamp in kids room did not work My boy said pillow was a bit too hard.
We had the Family Room which I really like the set up. My kids bedroom with 2 single beds was great, a oil heater was already in the bedroom which kids used as it was cold and were nice and toastie and slept well. However the oil heater in my room switched on but did not heat my room at all. I was very cold and therefore I had a terrible disruptive sleep. If the duvet was heavy or thicker might have helped. I should have told reception but I was too cold and tired to get out of bed.

Car parking was easy and the welcome was friendly. Our en-suite room was a good size and was spotlessly clean. We had a large screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable. The super breakfast was freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. We ate our evening meal less than 10 minutes away from the hotel at the Lane Ends Inn which serves a wide variety of good food at very reasonable prices. (We had the fish & chips which were excellent). We highly recommend The Claremont.

United KingdomCurtains in our front facing first floor room were not adequate enough to keep out the hotel’s very bright outside lights which were just above our window. Cheap blackout blinds needed.
Spacious room, comfortable bed, free parking. Excellent breakfast included - full English plus cereals, yoghurt, fruit. Staff were very cheerful and friendly. Top value for money.

United KingdomStairs to climb to access the room - just a warning for those who are elderly or needing support. Cleaning of room was adequate, albeit lacked full attention to detail. A newish build attached to an older property. There are tell tale signs suggesting the property needs a fresh eye to catch some minor repairs and improvements. Car park is scruffy looking.
Within 10 minutes of M6, parking available, Good Value, breakfast included, as a 1 night quick solution the hotel proved to be a very good choice. The room and facilities in it were good. Staff very pleasant, friendly and approachable. It will be one we will consider on future trips. A 7 min walk to the Tiger Belly Indian was worth the effort.
