We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The reason I am ratinge low is because we did not have a car so it was not easy to get to the second location even though it was larger.

United KingdomOnly one bathroom and toilet. For an apartment that can accommodate 8 people, one bathroom and toilet is simply not enough. The only mirror in the apartment was on the bathroom cabinet, not at all adequate. Due to the storm, the rest of the family were unable to travel to Clydebank which was just as well as the lack of adequate bath/toilet facilities would have been quite chaotic. We had trouble sleeping on the Saturday night due to very loud music being played in the downstairs apartment. Which went on until the early hours of the morning. Constant repetitive thumping .... not at all pleasant
The apartment was very clean and spacious. Lots of room. Kitchen had everything needed in a self-catering environment.

FranceLooked good at the first glance but appeared to be quite bad: - Really bad mold smell when entering the premises. We later discovered a bunch of towels were “drying” in a small space without ventilation behind a curtain. We decided to do a laundry with all these towels to get rid of the smell… - The main bedroom with two beds had a very strong smell of cold cigarette smoke which didn’t go away with simply opening the windows for a few hours (it seems to come from the neighbor next door) - Lots of dark hair in the shower, bathroom sink and floor - The oven tray was very dirty with food crumbs - The area was very loud at night with people shouting in the street and the downstairs neighbors yelling.
