Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe cosy, colourful house is aptly named! It is in the hills above Bath, near a delightful small community called Larkhall. We enjoyed shopping at the deli, grocery, butcher, and bakery there. We saw a play in the local theatre. We never needed a taxi or an Uber; the bus system is extremely easy.

United KingdomIt was such a beautiful, comfortable home with everything you need. All the little extra touches made our trip including prosecco in the fridge. We loved the garden too! The bus stop to Bath is only across the road. It is so quiet and Viv had truly thought of everything. Such a perfect stay.

United KingdomWe had great difficulty unlocking the front door when we arrived, and had to make contact with Viv via Booking.com to gain access. We appreciate that this was dealt with swiftly, but unlocking the door both from inside and outside throughout our stay was far from easy.
The house was in a good location with a 20 to 30 minute walk into the city centre. There was also a bus stop across the road, but we didn't use it. The house was very relaxing, as was the garden which had a Mediterranean feel about it. Viv kept us updated through out our stay.

South AfricaThere was nothing we did not like. Even when it rained we felt so happy and peaceful.
We loved the big open door the goes to the patio. The whole house is so incredibly inviting. And the vibrant colours are happy. Bus stop just across the road. Ubre to town was around £8 to £10. Or a half hour walk. Beautyfull views.

United KingdomParking directly outside of house a bit difficult at end of school when children being collected but found places along the road. Definitely need to raise the temperature for the oven (as warned in the welcome book) or food takes a while to cook. Nothing really to dislike
A lovely garden and sitting area. A house full of plants, light and airy. A cosy front room and a larger sitting/dining/kitchen area. Plenty of room for two couples. Downstairs toilet and one in the bathroom which had shower as well as bath. The house had everything one needed and a good regular bus service into Bath opposite the house. Would love to go again.

AustraliaThe front door was a little hard to open at first but once we figured out the trick we were ok.
It had everything we could need as a family with children, especially the bath upstairs, good size kitchen for self catering and space to explore in the yard. It feels very homey and only a short drive or bus ride from town and supermarkets. All the rooms have nice views over the town and back garden.

United KingdomIf IKEA and straight lines are your thing, you will not like this house.
An absolutely fantastic house. It is in a great location with a short bus journey into the centre of Bath. A fabulous garden for relaxing in when you need to chill. A real home from home. It felt like you were staying with a friend.

United KingdomNothing it was absolutely perfect in every way
Location : Perfect . I personally slept in the master bedroom and awoke at dawn to the glorious sunlight & view of rolling hills. Each room was thematically decorated with taste and quirky style with every mod con . It was also spotlessly clean. In the evenings we opened the bifold doors and had a cool evening in the relaxing garden lounge. We ate at home in the evenings as everything was catered to in terms of the very well equipped kitchen We drove down from oxford but got the bus down to the city everyday and did not need the car at a All.

United KingdomNothing, we were very pleased.
Beautiful house, more like a real home than a holiday let. Stunning garden and everything you could possibly need. Parking outside with a bus stop right outside, so there was no need to take the car onto the centre of town.

United KingdomIt was a little too busy with loads of ornaments and plants for my tastes but some might like that. It certainly gave the place character and a lived in feel. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ INFO ABOUT RUBBISH DISPOSAL. We didn’t and ended up with an extra bill for £32.
Very quirky and cosy. Handy for the bus stop to Bath. Beautiful outside area and seating area. Sky Tv was a bonus. Good bathroom and shower and comfy beds.

United KingdomI was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the sofas. They were covered with throws but the sofas and throws were covered with dog hairs, which obviously hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. There is a £20 pet charge for extra cleaning, but unfortunately it isn’t being done.
The cottage is colourful and ethnic, as the photos show and why I chose to stay. Very comfortable and relaxed. The location is near to dog walks of buttercup fields and the canal and river. Also there are scenic walks into the city
