The bathroom water system was unusual. The bath and sink ran hot water but the shower was tepid.

The room was spacious, we enjoyed views over the harbour, and everything was spotlessly clean. We were very comfortable.

Location is great but it means there is very little free parking. However I was lucky enough to get one of the spots on the first evening and didn't move my car, so it was not a problem on this occasion.

I had a lovely big room looking over the sea which I did not pay a room upgrade for, so that was generous. It was warm and comfortable. The breakfast suited me well, especially having prunes and grapefruit at breakfast. Reception and waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. I had nice food in the Rio bar on one night, but it is just Italian and I like variety for a few nights stay. Location is great.

The shower screen allowed water underneath to puddle copiously on the floor. Other room didn't have a lock on the bathroom at all, though this wasn't minded too much.

I liked the friendly and helpful staff. I liked the ancient lift but other family members preferred the stairs!

Can’t really fault anything. I noticed you had some building/joinery work going on in one of the public areas. Hope that gets sorted soon. It would be good if you offered a rate for bed and breakfast- maybe you do, but I just wasn’t offered it on the booking site I used.

Breakfast was very good. At £12.95 maybe a little pricey. We loved the view from our room (304) right over the bay.

We were down by another hotel. Booking cancelled 30 minutes before we arrived in Oban. This hotel was available at short notice. We got a warm welcome at reception, the room was warm, clean and comfortable. This was at a great location in the centre of town. It’s an old building with character. The lift is old fashioned. We will certainly go back. Great value for money.

Room was much smaller than at our first stay and there was an awkward step up towards the oriole window.

Breakfast at previous stay five days before was self service and more efficient. Waiting staff could have explained the set up on the second visit.

Had some road noise, didn't keep us awake though. Building a bit tired but clean and warm.

Location is excellent. Requested a walk in shower which was great. Staff very helpful.

The breakfast was adequate but they didnt cater for my need for gluten free options. In fairness, I didnt give prior warning. There could have been more varieties of fruit. The pillows were a bit hard.

The staff were very friendly and exchanged our room without question. We wished for an upper floor with an improved view. It was very central to all amenities. It met with our budget requirements.

Bed was rather small. It became a bit noisy on the Friday night and Saturday morning. Towel rail in bathroom not working, lift did not always work

It’s an old building with lots of character and although our room was fresh and clean some of the public ares were higglety pigglety and needed upgrading. I believe this will be done.
