Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe was booked into the top floor room and sadly there was no lift on site! Not very disability friendly! The room is located above a pub which is nice howver the menu hasn’t got a great selection of food The shower did have a lot of mould in it!
Staff were very friendly and Willing to help! You also get 20% off food in the pub when you are staying there!

United KingdomThere were a couple of things that we mentioned to the staff I.e broken shower, no hot water…that were not resolved but we weren’t there too long for this to be a major issue but they are things that need to be addressed. I believe from a staff member we were speaking to that the building is listed and so it is very difficult to make alterations and upgrades due to this and can appreciate their struggles.

United KingdomI would have liked a breakfast that was more than self service continental and the staff could have been a little more helpful but in fairness the pub was extremely busy. Also the bathroom was exceptionally small and tight to fit in to.
You have to remember this is a very busy pub, so it is noisy and the food is pub grub and not fine dinning, so set your expectations accordingly. The bed however was very comfortable and the noise levels in the room are none existent, so a good nights sleep is easily achievable. Considering the price of the hotels around you and their cost in comparison, the Fox is quite good value. I will use this again for future visits.

United KingdomFirst room we were given, no heating, as it wasn’t working. The only other room they had, didn’t have a lock on the front door but could be locked from the inside, So we were unable to leave our room during our stay. Which was a shame as we would have gone down to use restaurant. Breakfast isn’t served until 8am so if you have an early flight you miss out on breakfast. They did say they would refund some money back for the inconvenience of the broken lock but no refund was given.

GermanyThe breakfast was very continental and rather plain. You could ask for extras, and the personal was happy to help, but the choices were limited. The view from my room was onto a highway onramp, but I have not spend enough time in my room to appreciate it.
The Fox is within walking distance from the Excel Center and London City Airport. I can have a full day at the trade show got out for dinner, walk to my room and to my plane the next morning. It is a Pub with rooms atop so nothing fancy. My bed was great, I had WiFi in my room and enjoyed a long hot shower.

United KingdomThere was no airconditioning and the room was far too hot. The booking stated breakfast was included but it wasn't, we were told this as we checked in. The room was on 4th floor with no lift and the staircase was very narrow and twisty. The area was very noisy.

Spacious room, clean and tidy on arrival. Nice pub downstairs for which you get a discount in. Great location, only a few minutes walk to the closest train station and affordable for London!
