Room was lovely clean .only problem we found was it was sports pub and it was a matchnight and 10 tvs at full volume was a bit much to take while teing to eat a meal downstairs in the pub and had to take dessert to our room. We were 2 older ladies staying in the night for an appointment at the freeman hospital .it was very handy the menu didn.t have much in the way vegitarian option choice for my friend who had a veggie burger which when arrived she said was very tasty but the bread bun was like concrete which she told and showed the waitress who was clearing the tables she took it to the kitchen but there was not comeback or feedback apoligy from the kitchen. In the whole it wasn't a bad stay in our nice room next time we will make sure its not a matchnight !

Good location. I have stayed here before and will do so again. This time I had a massive corner room. Food in the pub is reasonable, big portions

Slight issue with check-in and booking system access but staff were very friendly and accommodating. Just a slightly longer wait when we were in a rush.

Easy access from South via Tyne Tunnel. Excellent free on site parking. Nice friendly pub with good food available throughout day.

Showing signs of wear & tear that need addressing & the duvet wasn’t the right size for the bed, it needed an emperor size so we did borrow a spare duvet from our daughter for the duration of the stay

Location. But sure we knew it was out of town a bit. Bus stop very handy, right outside the door.

Staff wasn’t around and had to go look for someone to check in even though there is a buzzer , and the bar closes at 9:30pm with no facilities for drinks or that for hotel , suggestions vending machine for hotel guests

The bathroom was very cold and draughty but the fan heater, placed outside the door of the bathroom solved that.

The location is perfect for visiting family. We had the family room so there was plenty of space. The heating was easily controlled so we could switch it off at night and on in the morning.

The hotel caters for functions as well and it was busy when we arrived, so we had to wait a while before anyone came to check us in, although they did apologise. There were a lot of people toing and froing in the rooms area, which made it noisy. Not a quiet night's sleep, with people talking and a TV playing into the latter early hours. Large bathroom that could have done with some heating (the room itself was toasty though). Guy didn't write our breakfast order down and got my juice wrong, although he replaced it.

Travelling with a very tall friend, so booked the ample family room, giving them the double bed to themselves!. Seems a popular bar, too. Festively decorated. Given all the info we needed and not expected to pre-order or pre-book a reservation for breakfast. Alternative breakfast options, individually priced ~ a couple less than £9.99. Ample parking. Comfy beds, USB charging points in with socket by beds ~ love that. Great shower. We didn't eat dinner there, as meeting friends in a restaurant, but menu/food looked good. Hotel lies immediately off Coast Road exit, so don't miss the turning almost as soon as you turn onto Heaton Rd!

Avoid the breakfast. Not the best.

Nice pub with hotel accommodation. Good parking. Nice location. Nothing too fancy but the room was fine and clean.
