The lighting in the room was poor. I found it hard to do my makeup. We booked a table at the restaurant, didn't think they had enough staff.

Lots of free parking, big enough for my LWB T5 van. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfy, and the room was beautifully decorated. I liked that there was a desk with a light, which was great for working. The easy chair was a good addition. Everywhere throughout the pub and accommodation was spotlessly clean. Coffee bags and biscuits on the tea tray were a nice touch. It was surprisingly quiet, and I had an excellent night's sleep, which is very unusual for me! The food in the pub was reasonably priced and good quality. There was a good vegetarian selection, and the staff were very helpful with my allergy. The breakfast was huge, and excellent value. The accommodation is in a separate new block, although the rooms mirror the decor of the pub. The pub is gorgeous with lots of character, exposed beams, quiet nooks and window seats.

Toilet didn’t flush properly, or at least it took several pumps of the handle to do so; water pressure in the shower was very low, even though the water pressure in the wash basin seemed fine; dinner in the pub was disappointing given the pricing; there was no fridge in the room.

The location, the really friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts and breakfast options, and nice touches in the room (nice biscuits, welcome chocolates every day)!

We like everything to do with lunch and staying over but this time within a week price for staying shot up from £81-£95 and we ended up paying £105 which we were not pleased about

The price, from the Friday until the following week it had gone from £81 to £95 then when I booked reluctantly it was £105! We were not happy but did still book as we had already booked our lunch and everyone else could only make that date.

We prebooked for an earlier check in but this was not conveyed to the staff on shift so there was a little bit of confusion when we got there, but that was the worst bit. The hotel was lovely and I would highly recommend.

We thought the room was lovely, did not expect the vintage esque décor and the bed was extremely comfortable! We didn't have the breakfast so cannot comment on the food but the room was very clean and roomy.

The outside of building was not that nice looking but inside was beautiful.

The room was very comfortable and cosy. The decor really lovely and calming in room and bathroom too. Loved the touch of a note welcoming you along with a chocolate. Check inn staff were friendly and helpful.

Would have preferred a walk in shower, Pillows very hard. A better hazard sign on step down form reception. No coffee available after our meal.
