The soundproofing between rooms isn't great, and the shower was not very powerful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good for the centre of Oxford (a 10-15 minute walk). The room was very clean and had a useful amount of lighting and power sockets.

Aging interior and furnishings. Poor wifi, dropped off a lot. Tv choice was limited and was unable to watch streaming ie Netflix as wifi was so bad

Interior a little dated but didn’t bother us as so clean, and comfortable.

Fabulous hotel in a quieter part of the city which boasts wonderful independent local bars , cafes, bakeries and restaurants brimming with character. Yet, the hotel is still an easy 15 minute walk into the heart of the city. Best of both worlds! The private car park was a bonus and the friendly staff let us leave the car there before checking in.

Had an issue with getting hot water to shower in the morning, had to have bath instead, but reported to reception on check out and they reported it to maintenance immediately

Location was good, easy walk into town, comfortable, clean and quiet room, bath tub in en-suite, friendly staff, able to park in car park before check in and after check out times which was useful to extend our visit

Fan in bathroom rather noisy

Excellent breakfast. I liked the Normandy yogurt, scrambled egg good, smoked salmon excellent quality. Good seating and space in lounge and bar. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bed very comfortable.

Soundproofing from the room above could have been better. More coffee sachets in the bedroom, but we asked for more and were given, with a smile.

We had a courtyard bedroom which was very quiet, even though the hotel is on a main road, although there was a bit of noise from people in the bedroom above walking around. Beautiful little lounge next to the reception and a separate bar, we did not use. Free parking. Particularly loved the bedroom decor and the fact our bedroom opened out onto the internal courtyard.

I had to ask for a bath towel. Too hot. Peeling wallpaper in Room 75. Smoky reception. Completely mangled my address and email, even though booked online. Outside signs not well lit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was comfortable and pleasant throughout - from a very cheery welcome (in both reception and bar) to a quiet night's sleep. We only had breakfast this time, but felt it was top notch. The highly convenient location is the clincher.

The room was a little small. The price for the room was expensive, but I guess it was justified being so close to the city centre, 20 mins walk.

The room was a little on the small side for 2, but comfortable. The bed was comfortable and although there was a function going on, we could not hear the noise. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was elicious.

For us personally the mattress was a little too firm but that is just a personal thing and the bed was quite comfortable other than that.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and quite spacious and we loved that there was a fan provided. Breakfast was delicious and we highly recommended the pancakes!
