Nothing, if anything to really nitpick at I would say maybe in the near future an upgrade on the televisions to smart to keep up with the modern app way of life would be good but not totally needed in such a beautiful part of the world

The hotel is lovely, we stayed with our little dogo. The bed was huge the hotel very warm and spotless. Very comfortable stay

It states on the web site that there is a restaurant and we planned to eat there when we arrived. We asked the man on reception about eating in the restaurant but was told there wasn't one. We drove to Windermere to have a meal therefore. There is parking about a 3 minute walk away.

Breakfast was good but I asked for a poached egg and received a fried one - not a big issue. Guests request their breakfast requirements the evening before and are given a time. Room was clean and comfortable. Entertainment in the evening was good.

Location was excellent for a walk into town, parking was available nearby. Hotel was clean and comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly. We didn’t have any food so can’t comment.

The hotel is well looked after, the room was spotlessly clean and had a great view of the fells. It's mainly used by coach trips, and we could not join the evening entertainment but we heard him warming up, and he sounded fab!

The use of winter duvets in summer for us was not the right choice, however for what appeared to be the majority of the clientele, being at least 70 and over, probably why. The housekeeper didn't refill the shower gel dispenser before we arrived, not that it mattered as we had bought our own.

The staff were welcoming, helpful, the room well presented, clean and comfortable. Centrally located, only minutes walk to the town centre and even less to the railway station.

Unfortunately our room was on a main road (most rooms were) and it was really noisy.

Staff were unable to serve tea with breakfast but no-one seemed to consider boiling a kettle. The cooked breakfast had obviously been standing before being served, probably because the coach parties were served first.

It was OK but probably not one we would return to. It caters more for coach parties.

The breakfast was served first to a coach party which meant being late for my appointments both days. Traffic noise from the road made it difficult to sleep.

We liked the location and in particular the company of the other guests from the Midlands in the evening (sing-along).

We felt could have done with more staff at meal tines to accommodate people checking in or having a drink in the bar. Felt they were rushed and pressured, although they were all lovely and helpful.

Room was airy and cool especially with the weather we are having at present.

busy with happy noisy coach tour breakfast only 8-30 to 9 which left staff under pressure and led to long delays and fixed menu eg no boiled eggs

Shower temperature control was broken , so the shower was too hot.

Over priced without breakfast, the little things like no biscuits with the coffee and the first ever place we have stayed where the room is ready at 1415hrs but they make you wait for the 1500hrs check in. Won't stay again.

the only thing that was a inconveniene was as we weren’t on a coach tour we weren’t allowed a evening meal in the hotel, we had to go out for dinner. it wasn’t far to go, but after a long drive we didn’t really fancy leaving the hotel and would of suited us better to eat in.

When we arrived the room had just been painted and we had to move the wardrobe and desk back to the walls as they were in the centre of the room, guess it was an honest mistake 🤷🏻‍♂️

The staff were very nice and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, Ideal location and parking right across the street. Overall good night away.
