Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Parking on the street can be a bit tricky. Always found a spot but required a bit of in and out to getting situated into a space. Fortunately my wife was a good spotter.
Comfortable and clean room with nicely updated bathroom. Delicious breakfast options. Owners were very kind and provided helpful suggestions.

Fabulous B & B with very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and an ideal location. Emma & Sean are great hosts and offer suggestions & recommendations for places to visit and eat in the local area. Cragwood is spotlessly clean and situated within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Nothing everything was ideal.
Loved everything about the property, room lovely, clean and spacious. Had all the extras needed such as hairdryer toiletries WiFi and Netflix. Location brilliant everything we needed on doorstep. Hosts Emma and Sean were brilliant, lovely couple very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Best breakfast we’ve ever had. Will definitely be back in future.

Exceptional in all ways. Spotlessly clean, close to the town center, friendly owners, gorgeous breakfast that was plentiful with locally sourced products. Really comfortable beds. Easy parking. Highly recommend, we will be visiting again soon.

The only minor reason we did not give a perfect 10 is it would have been nice to have a chair in the room but there wasn't really enough space.
Clean comfortable room, lovely people looking after us, excellent breakfast, excellent location in easy walking distance of the town centre and the lake.

The location is perfect for those wanting to stay in Keswick that’s just a stone throw away from the town centre. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you can think of needing and more. It was a relief to see that the plug sockets also had USB ports for all things that may need charging. Perfect hosts who check in on how you’re doing and provide an amazing breakfast of high quality. This is now the second time we’ve stayed here, and hoping to stay here for the foreseeable whenever we have a trip to the Lake District ⛰️

Absolutely nothing, it was a great place and exceeded our expectations.
We received a warm welcome and great customer service during our stay. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and the room we had was beautiful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, good quality produce and great choice.

Honestly we loved everything. The room (and the guesthouse) was immaculate. The breakfast was definitely one of the best I've eaten! Being able to tailor your breakfast to how much, and what you want to eat is an excellent feature and means there was no waste. The location was just perfect as well, being literally a 2 minute walk into the centre of town, but also being very quiet at night. And to top this all off, a huge thanks to our host Emma, who was just amazing. Cragwood guesthouse is a little gem in the heart of Keswick and we can't wait to return for a longer stay next time. ❤️

Everything was spot on.
The location was ideal. A 5 minute walk from town centre. The accommodation was on a nice quiet street. Parking was ok during non busy times and we managed to get a space outside the guest house. The breakfast was presented really well and looked appetising and tasted phenomenal. My partner asked for an extra sausage and this was facilitated no trouble. The hosts where chatty and friendly. The room was one of the smaller rooms but we knew this when booking. It was more than ample just kept banging led on bed going the toilet so a few bruises. Bed was comfortable, room was spotless and quiet .

cant really fault anything other than maybe having a small fridge in the room and a later breakfast time
