The dinner experience was lacking, overpriced and the place was drafty. I was shivering all the time.

The food was good and the room very comfortable

A very nice hotel . The food was delicious at breakfast a great choice for everyone The restaurant at night the food was also very good a great value the staff were lovely Very family oriented The Victorian spa is definitely worth booking. So relaxing. So many day time activities for families but book prior to arriving. Walking distance to the town.

Staff didn’t know where some places were when we asked them, others didn’t know events that were going on when you asked about them. The information of itinerary could easily be placed at the hub for example and other places around the hotel in my opinion. There wasn’t an information sheet in room about the different places within hotel or when in hotel there wasn’t clear signage of where places were. The chips were salted as standard (we were told by staff member when requesting fresh unsalted chips) and this was a very strange practise as people with specific type diets could find this an issue. Please note that this is all constructive criticism and in no way were we unhappy with our stay.

Lots to do on premises. Lovely grounds for a pleasant walk. The Swimming pool and sauna and steam room are excellent. Thought it was great how family friendly it was. It was a grand looking building. The food was lovely at The Terrace where we dined. The rooms were excellent and comfortable. Breakfast was a great variety.

The rooms are dated and in need of a refurb but are clean and have everything you need. Beds very comfy.

The staff were very friendly and the facilities perfect. Grounds are well maintained and we will definitely book a lodge some time soon. Lots of activities for all. The Bunker was fab. Breakfast lovely, fresh and lots of it.

Breakfast could have been better. a lot on offer but quality a little lacking (quality of scrambled eggs / bacon)....maybe offer a la carte? poached eggs / avocado / pancakes. Activities are fun and staff excellent but they do work out quite expensive when you have 2 or more children.

Added extras for things like that park - £30 for two kids, should be included in your stay in my opinion. Also don’t understand why the swimming pool shuts for periods of time in the day.

Very family friendly, clean and lots of activities for the kids to take part in.
