Fitness classes started shortly before 8am on a weekend, and you can hear it loud and clear in your room. No chance of sleeping beyond that. The shower had barely any water pressure and shower head didn't hold in place. I did tell the reception staff and they took note to fix it.

Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The fitness facilities are really nice. Polite and helpful staff, especially the breakfast staff. Very good breakfast.

Spa not on first night, showers were cold in pool area. Food wasn't great.. chips undercooked .. lasagne burnt and hard .. not expected from a 4star tbh.

We had to ask for refills for the tea, milk etc in our room. They were not refilled automatically. We were bombarded with emails before our visit. I think the same one was sent five times. It was a welcome email, info about the hotel and advice to book a table in the restaurant or bar. I did this and was then pestered to confirm the booking more than once.

The room was comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant. There was a huge choice and everything was delicious.

The first room we had the tap & radiator in the bathroom were broken. We did mention it and straight away were offered to move rooms, but it was a minor inconvenience really, so we said we were fine, but the room was actually really noisy as we could hear the floorboards squeak everyone someone walked past or moved in the upstairs room, and there was intrusive noise, which we think may have been from the bar below, but possibly someone's TV in the next room, so we didn't sleep too well the first night.

The hotel and room were really clean, the staff were friendly, and the leisure complex was a lovely addition. The location was perfect for us visiting family in Carlisle. We will stay again on our next visit. We were offered to move rooms when we mentioned the tap and radiator were broken, but as it was a minor inconvenience we declined, however, having found the room to be noisy overnight, we asked to move in the morning and were given a different room on the next floor up, which, although smaller, was much quieter for us.

Railway station is right behind the hotel which can be loud but would not stop me staying again.

A bit disappointed with the bed, just a little small and soft for us, a bit noisy at night (guests returning to their rooms). And the bacon for breakfast was not what we were expecting.

We thought the location was amazing, staff incredible helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, hope we can return. Visit it if you can, enjoy the facilities and soak up the atmosphere. Meet some lovely locals and other guests.

We booked a room with a Jaqcuzi bath that did not work and there was an issue with the bathroom which meant we had to move rooms , was not up to the same standard as original room booked and felt let down

Was hoping for kippers for breakfast but not available. Disappointed but not a deal breaker! Minor point. Breakfast more limited from what I recall on previous visits albeit some years ago.

Car park can be very busy as it's spa facilities are used alot. And the lights from the carpark shone into our room but otherwise nothing 🙂

Lovely place to stay. We were well looked after by staff and the room had everything we needed. They were really accommodating with us having a dog and baby with us. They provided a dog bed and food bowl. They also supplied a travel cot. The food n drinks at the restaurant were fantastic. There are also some beautiful walks around the area which were great to explore with the family.

Could do with a bit better soundproofing between the rooms (won't go into the reasons why!). Room was also very cold. It did warm up eventually but perhaps getting them on an hour or so before guests are due to arrive would rectify this issue. Bathroom door wouldn't close unless locked (so had to stay ajar when nobody was in there).

Breakfast was nice and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was lovely, spacious, with a big comfortable bed. It felt very private, facing a quiet road rather than other windows. Ground floor so very easily accessible and quick to get to from the car park.

Had a problem with food in evening. Slow service etc. However in fairness, we did order late and the bar was busy. However it was all settled to every ones satisfaction.
