It was in a great location - within walking distance of the beach. The room was clean and had everything you needed. The staff were super friendly and helpful, plus the breakfast was delicious with a full English as well as cereals and yoghurt. Would definitely come back if visiting the area again.

Sadly for us, there were limited eateries/local pubs, which meant having to drive to the next village. Just a little isolated for our personal taste.

The hotel was lovely, with great staff who were very informative & friendly. The room was a great size & very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely & we really appreciated our sandwiches packed ready for our walk-up Scarfel pike! The hotel is a short walk from the beach.

A little noisy in the mornings as the Lodge is located on a fairly busy main road in the town but closing the windows helps. Would be good to be able to open the bathroom window for fresh air.

Room was very clean and comfortable and well decorated with many nice touches. Breakfast was very good and the dining areas very nice indeed. Overall a welcoming and attractive venue and warm and helpful hosts. The location has both the attraction of the coast and the stunning Lake District and Scafell on its doorstep. Paul's local dining recommendations were very helpful too!

Had a really lovely stay at Cumbrian lodge and the hosts were very kind and welcoming. A great location for a beautiful little beach with ice cream parlour and fish and chips shop. Great for our small family.

Friendly and helpful proprietors, spotlessly clean and excellent breakfast. Paul and Angela accommodated our request for an early breakfast at 7am on the day we were climbing Scafell Pike.

Lovely couple who greeted us on arrival and provided us with a cot and high chair for our baby. Lovely breakfast and good location for exploring the seaside and the lakes.

The only slight downside was the bathroom was a bit dated but even then the shower was powerful, which was appreciated.

Very clean and well done out. 6 year old said it smelled ‘beautiful’ and the breakfast was delicious.

Angela and Paul are very welcoming and friendly. Very homely and comfortable and clean guest house. Literally like popping into your aunties and uncles for the weekend..will make sure you've eaten enough🤣and offer you coats/hoody if you forgot yours 🤣👍 perfect base to go out and explore.

The road noise was audible in the room .. it was not a busy road .. but if you are a light sleeper ..it’s worth noting .

Lovely property just 10 mins walk from the beautiful coast line. Fantastic breakfast both days we were here, the owner is incredibly attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay on the west coast in Cumbria, can’t fault them.

Upon arrival we received the warmest welcome from the hosts, helped take our bags up to a very cosy double bedroom, breakfast area was laid out lovely with options for continental and hot food to order, it really did feel like home away from home and we felt extremely well looked after. The property also had easy access to come and go as we pleased.
