We had trouble entering the car park from the "back entrance" (i.e. not off the M6 toll) on arrival. Not having a direct contact number meant we couldn't contact anyone to resolve it and it was only because someone in the queue of cars that built up did that the gate was opened. Providing a contact telephone number in the booking details (that is not just the global Days Inn phone number) could have avoided this issue.

The hotel is a little tired but kept incredibly clean. The beds were comfortable and the family room had plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff, when around were polite and friendly.

Unfortunately we didn’t have great sleep. During our first night, we had a very noisy neighbour (screaming on the phone all through the night). This was followed by a second night of a false fire alarm going off (someone had been smoking inside). Also located on M6 Toll road so charges £8.50 on the way out on both days. We also had an issue with payment as the card machine doesn’t accept maestro. Unfortunately we were only told this after attempting to pay with one. This meant we had to that amount blocked on the card whilst having to pay a second time in cash. We were assured the card amount would be returned however it’s too soon to confirm this. Overall a hassle with the payments. The staff were very polite and did remain helpful throughout.

The chipped enamel in the bath. The low hum of the charging units for the EV's outside the room. The controls on the heating unit were so close to the side wall you couldn't see how to control the heater.

basic for a stop over to break long journey , but friendly staff, clean rooms , comfy bed . services next door with adjoining corridor/ door for easy access. Quiet at night despite location. very good value for money .

We had trouble sleeping due to the neighbouring room talking loud and banging on the wall for some time. As it was a busy weekend for Crufts visitors we didn't make a fuss, assuming there was dogs in the room. We did not complain to the hotel or asked to be moved. Some guests can be disrespectful unfortunately, however maybe the walls arent soundproofed. It did affect our stay somewhat, but we would still stay there again hoping we get a quieter neighbour.

The spacious room, and it was clean. The receptionist was extremely nice and helpful, even offered our dog some biscuits! The hotel made sure we had a suitable room for a disabled person which we were very grateful for. Would definitely stay again. We liked the close proximity to the Costa and Mcdonalds snacks adjoining the hotel. And the free parking was a bonus. A great wee site for the dogs too.

As I was with my spouse, it would have been nice to have 2 chairs available and not just 1. Some HD TV channels , like BBC News 24, were reported by the guide to be poor signal and did not display.

I extended my stay but there was a bit of miscommunication - The reservation team does not appear to update communications in the system. I requested an extension via telephone to their reservation department, the reservation representative agreed on the extension, but did not communicate back to receptionist Eraine (sp) or Eryne about what we discussed. As a whole, I would stay in Cannock again because it met my needs for the night

The receptionist, Eraine (sp) or Eryne, was so welcoming and checked me in without any difficulty. The internet connection was satisfactory. Elaine assisted me in avoiding M6 Tall by using a back road. Ask at the reception back road which takes you to an industrial estate i think the road is called Elaine Lane As well, the cleaners were very friendly and accommodating. When I met them on my way out, I could feel the warmth
