We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomRoom was old and tired with paint peeling off the facilities, (in the bathroom particularly). The cleaning of the room left a bit to be desired...it just needed a good clean tbh. TV in the room only worked intermittently which was a bit annoying. Receptionist did warn about that on check-in and that the weather was causing problems but, in this day and age, you would expect a working TV to be a given...
Basic Stay at a motorway services off the M1. No frills. Just about ok if you only need a bed for the night. Friendly enough welcome and car parking is free. Food and other bits mere steps away from the front of the hotel. Bed was comfortable and I got a good nights sleep.

Location was ideal for what we needed and the price was very reasonable. We had a good generously sized room, the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was dog friendly. Free parking included.

United KingdomNoisy neighbours in next room. Two groups arrived at 1.30 pm and all gathered in the room next door talking loudly. Impossible to sleep so I got up and spoke to reception. They immediately came up and the group quietened down for a while but still kept my partner awake. Fortunately my hearing is not so good. Next time we would ask for a room which doesn't have another room next to it eg room no. 22. Fortunately most guests are more considerate and respect other people's need of a good nights sleep.
Good room, helpful staff. Excellent wifi. Good facilities at Tibshelf Services for food etc.

United KingdomLet's start with the parking. If you look at the photo, you can see there is no ramp from the disabled parking up to the hotel. The curb is too high to get up or down without help. The disabled spaces outside the service station are really far away, see photo, but do have a ramp. If you struggle with energy levels, this is still not an option for you. However, if you are in a wide wheelchair you will still not be able to access the hotel because of the gap between the electric car charging point and a bench which, is too narrow to get through. See Oh dear. Photos attached. The bathroom... They have made an effort to put in enough handles for support for those who can stand. The rooms have baths and a shower. No plug for the bath, though. Unfortunately, the shower is in the bath, so if you have no ability to stand, you can not clean yourself. There is no floor drain, so you need to be in the bath to use the shower. No bath chair is available. The height of the shower head is too high if you are sitting and too low if you are standing. This is not a problem for able bodied folk, but for people with mobility challenges, it's not so great. The toilet is a bit low but not a problem. The handle is really high up and on the wrong side of the cistern to easily flush from a wheelchair. The sink is perfect, though, as is the amount of floor space, and one of the two bathroom alarm chords actually reached the floor! (The other was tied up on one of the handles)
Once you have negotiated these obstacles, the staff are lovely and friendly. The staff, as I say, are lovely and clearly care about their guests. On to the room everything old, but clean, The beds are twin beds and are comfy. There is an alarm next to the bed, which is a good idea. The TV is a good size. The room is warm enough. There is enough room to manoeuvre around the room. The kettle is a proper size.
