The wifi was very poor and almost non existent

It was very beautiful place and ideal for a hiker with great views and a well equipped kitchen and pleasant accommodating staff. The facilities were old but well maintained. Nice atmosphere

Cardboard recycling bin was located outside, would be nice to have one in the kitchen.

Location was amazing, couldn't have asked for better view of the lake. They don't mention enough that they have their own waterfall on site

The location was perfect, i.e. very close to Derwentwater so there were lots of walks to do around there with beautiful scenery. The lady who worked on reception was friendly, helpful and efficient.

It's a fair way out of Keswick although there is a bus stop so that's not a problem really. Booking.com check-in didn't quite work properly assigning me a female dorm but that was easily rectified on arrival.

A lovely location at the side of Derwent Water. Everything you could need in a hostel. I only stayed for one night but I'm sure this would make a fantastic base for exploring the local fells. The dorm room was huge but not with loads of beds so it felt very spacious. The beds were much more comfortable than the YHA ones so the best sleep I've had at a hostel!

Brilliant location. Good breakfast which was definitely value for money. Lovely warm room. Great shower but could do with a support to hold onto getting in and out.

No wifi Staff said it doesn’t work with cloudy weather Heating didn’t work in room but we were given a portable radiator Table tennis balls all broken so couldn’t play Enjoyed a game of pool and cards though

For a hostel it was all I could ask for.

Checkin was slick and the facilities were in good repair. Being peak season I expected it to be busy but in fact there was plenty of room. Having a waterfall out the back window was a bonus.

The location is beautiful right by the lake. They have a really good kitchen with multiple ovens, jobs and microwaves.

For over £30 for a bunk bed i'd appreciate it if it was made up to be fair. Never paid so much for a hostel to then have to make my own bed after a Long days walking and feeling very tired.

Location is quite far from the town centre and if you miss the last bus it's a long walk through the forest to get back if you don't have a car. A noisy family was in the room next door, not sound proof at all. Tiny bunks for a huge room. Not enough PowerPoint's in the room per person. Wifi was terrible.

Small but comfy bunk beds in the dorms, nice large room. Great view over the lake. Good kitchen facilities.

Lovely new bathroom which was very clean on arrival but got very wet after the first family use and was difficult to dry out. Light automatically goes off in shower once you leave sink area. Wave of the arm puts it back on but might upset a child.

Excellent position near to the lakeside and had great views from the front. Waterfall within the grounds. Friendly staff, bar and breakfast provided all we needed.

Great location, amazing access to the lake and the property grounds and waterful were stunning. Loads to do on a rainy day for the kids, great facilities and we enjoyed the cooked breakfast one morning. Highly recommend.
