It was a very busy Saturday night and the restaurant was full...book early if you want to get a table. I had the chicken salad which was tasty but certainly not good value for money...it was just a chicken breast on top of copious amounts of salad leaves .

The room was clean and modern...ideal fro just an overnight stay.

Heating on in bedroom despite hot weather with no way of turning off. Window had to be open all time and room was next to main road through village. Bathroom very spacious but bath side was too high to get in for a short person and dangerous for slipping to get out with no slip mat. Also no toilet roll holder. No menu to select breakfast.

Comfortable bed, very good dinner, nice staff. Pleasant garden to sit out.

It is a bit far from Yeovil, where I was working, but that is obviously no fault of the Devonshire Arms. I'm searching to find fault .... but I cannot!

Beautiful, historic inn, lovely ambiance, very comfortable room, fabulous bathroom, very tastefully decorated. Great evening meal, good wine selection, lovely service. Lovely breakfast, very nice people. Well worth the money, I will definitely stay here again, for business or pleasure. Cannot recommend enough.

the TV didn't have any signal, staff were aware and offered to move rooms. The place was closed when I arrived and wasn't any instructions on confirmation on to what to do where to go. went to front of the property and was extremely dark, and knocked to be told I should have gone to the back door between such hours. didn't receive instruction on this

Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was excellent, the best we have eaten for a long time and good value. Our room overlooked the village green and the church. The bed was very comfortable. There is a small car park which we were fortunate to get on each time. All contributed to a lovely stay.

No biscuits provided with the tea and coffee making facilities! But we were left bottled water.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I couldn't get the shower working and they came to sort it out straight anyway. It's an ex-hunting lodge and has been beautifully decorated, retaining a quirky hunting theme in the dining room. Room was comfortable. We were at the front so got some noise from the road in the morning but there's really not much traffic passing. The terraced seating and garden at the back are fabulous spots to relax. We booked one evening meal which was very good indeed, beautifully presented and good value. Breakfast choice was a little limited but covered all the basics and the hot food was cooked to order.

Staff were good but a little awkward at times. Not clear where we had to sit for breakfast as all tables were laid up with napkins, and got asked to move not big issue but simple one to make more intuitive for guests when they come down.

Very comfortable bed. Really lovely bath & large shower. On arrival we got a snack from spar shop & sat in lovely relaxing garden.

Lovely hotel, would stay again if in the area.

Car park was tiny so had to park on the road, but it was quiet so not a major issue.

Lovely hotel, would stay again if in the area. The room was very spacious and comfortable. My son was particularly fascinated by all the mounted stag heads on the wall - the bar / restaurant area had a sort of gentlemans shooting club feel to it. Food good too!

Lack of communication to guests. Only told upon arrival that we may not be able to eat until 8 o'clock as there was a large table in. Had already had a long day so were not planing on going out again.

The room was good but it would have been usfull if they had put a light over the long mirror, only mirror with alight above it was in the bathroom which is not very convinent

The location on village green and the fact that the local people used it as a pub not just a bisu hotel. Food was very good.

Stayed here 4 times now and it's always been fantastic. Staff are friendly and efficient, the food is excellent and the rooms are very stylish and comfortable. If you're looking for a gastro pub with accommodation the devonshire ticks all the boxes.

The only negative was there were very small towels in the bathroom. I would really expect bath sheets to be in a bathroom as standard. Using hand towels after a shower proved interesting!

Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Hotel was modern and clean and would highly recommend
