Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

was impossible to park as arrived on a sat night but staff went above and beyong to help find a space (receptionist even moved her car for me!)

We stayed in Room 43. It has a huge bathroom. The second sink was clogged and we had to remove the sink filter for the water to be drained. Need some attention to the shower on the bath tub and also to the shower curtain. Difficult to have a shower as it split water everywhere even though the curtain is there. When we spoke to the receptionist she said all other rooms with the same category also has the same bathroom. There was a damaged small bin in side the bathroom. It was bent all around. Always it has to be opened by hands. Also give some attention on the second bed. The mattress is not comfortable. Please give some attention on above. Thanks

Overall refurb needed, especially in bathrooms: towels too small, overhead shower too high and not possible to keep hair dry. Not (female) user friendly. Generous sized rooms, if dull.
Very helpful and friendly staff who went all out to help. Dinner was good and open to various meal times to accommodate.

Better breakfast buffet but I suppose if the hotel was busier it may have been. It was adequate and the service was excellent.The spa closed at 6pm on a Sunday and this was a big reason why we booked. If I had known then perhaps we'd have booked elsewhere, we managed to get half an hour.
Dinner was very good. Breakfast was OK, nothing too special.

No fridge/minibar in rooms, a bit worn furniture. Wedding has been taken place at the evening we stayed, which was rather loud, music could be clearly heared from our room, it has been ended after midnight.
Nice staff, delicious dinner and breakfast. Spa also satisfying.

It was a bit loud as they had an event but they did offer us to move so no complaints

Little tired around the pool - no cups in the water fountain and no one on reception to the spa areas when we arrived so just went in and worked it out for ourselves

I’m not sure £125 for a Monday night and no breakfast included is value for money

As a spa hotel billed as "luxury", the hotel is very old-fashioned and in need of modernisation and refurbishment. Prices are very high for the quality of accommodation. From the price I paid I was expecting a modernised, luxury manor house with spa facilities.
Staff were fantastic. Really friendly and professional and resolved an issue with my room quickly. Breakfast was great.

The spa (pool, steam room etc) area could do with a good deep clean, especially the floors (eg under chairs, in steam room, hair & gum etc on the floor). Lots of staff around but didn’t see anyone mop/ wipe the floors while we were in there (and it wasn’t overly busy). The room was clean, but we were woken several times by noisy guests during the night then by cleaning staff chatting loudly outside our room in the mornings. Food and service in restaurant was good, decor was strange.
Friendly staff, nice food in restaurant, generally comfortable room, lovely massage in the spa. There were loud functions going on during our stay (no pre-warning) - we were moved to a quieter side of the hotel which we appreciated.

Lifts out of use! General condition of hotel requires attention there are workmen on site starting this with minimal inconvenience to guests
