Sitting at a bar where the barman poured us 2 glasses of wine and being charged service charges, there was nothing extra than him doing his job, he didn't even have to bring it to us

    The food was exceptional

The staircase to our room from the separate entrance needs a refurb.

We were there for a wedding, but if not, then as a normal guest, there would have been no where to go to avoid it .

    Breakfast was good. Staff friendly.

I am all for some mood lighting the room, but as an option. The bedside lights were dim and the "standard lamp" was all style and no substance with virtually no light. Luckily we were out with a friend for the evening and not back until late.

There was a good choice for breakfast and the bistro an attractive room.

They seemed to be low on orange juice and some of the continental foods , possibly not enough staff. Quite expensive for what it was.

In one room the room climate was not good. Looks like the old building has a bit too much moisture. Noisy, building as you can hear you neighbors walking.

Comfortable, good breakfast. Excellent for slowing down.

Some of the younger staff need to be more communicative but other than that this is a very good hotel.

Only negative I had was it was reasonably noise at night but that’s luck of the draw really and down to the guests rather than the hotel.

Everything, stunning place and immaculate in every way. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for you. I stayed with my seven year old son as a short getaway and we both. Evening meal was excellent as was the service, room service breakfast was perfect and very prompt on the timing.

Our bedroom was separate from the main hotel and it was cold. Also it cost £180 a night for the room and this cost did not include breakfast which I think is expensive.
