All the staff were very friendly, polite & helpful. The breakfast was very tasty & the waiting staff were very attentive. Our room was comfortable, clean & bright. Communal areas were well decorated & clean. Lovely bright reception area with comfortable seating. It's such a shame this hotel is closing, along with the golf course. We would definitely have returned as it's so well situated for the New Forest, Bournemouth, Poole & surrounding area.

We had an accessible room (not sure why). It was very noisy with a heater and some whirring. The beds (twin) were narrow. Not the best night’s sleep. Breakfast seemed a little disorganised. Other people also appeared confused.

The pool and spa. The public areas are lovely. The staff are fabulous. Our room had direct access. Spacious car park. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was quiet so we had the pool to ourselves for a while.

No ramp to the front door - only stairs Struggled with stairs and dragging my case - arrival and departure Chair in my room but being disabled a really comfy chair would have helped as I spend a lot of time in a chair

As I am disabled, staff arranged for me to get a room with a disabled bathroom. Great service. Breakfast hot and tasty - ordered rather than buffet advertised.

I booked this hotel as we had a funeral to attend in the local area. Due to some last minute changes, my husband and son attended the funeral and the hotel kindly changed the booking from a double to twin room. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout their stay and the hotel ideal. Room was warm, perfectly clean and comfortable. The spa looked lovely and the lounge bar was perfect for few pints and watching the footy. Highly recommend.

the road to the hotel is closed from one direction which is no fault of the hotel but doesn't cause any issues

the cost was great value for money , didn't use the pool , steam etc looks great , the staff were very friendly nothing was to much trouble for them , the breakfast was great and sets you up for the day , stayed here before and will stay again when in the area

Family room very musty (? From shower room) there were two humidifiers in room but even With windows open all the time smell still there. Thats the only thing that would put us off returning.

We ordered food to our room. Although the prices were adequate, we didn't really like the food. Also, in the room there is.not really anywhere to sit and eat so we eat from our laps on the sofa. There's enough room for a small dining table in the room. Despite this I want to make it clear that it did not take away from how much we enjoyed our stay

Some areas need updating and repairing. The sauna has been out of action for many weeks.

The property is clean and attractive and set in lovely grounds. There is plenty of parking. The swimming pool is lovely and warm with a good jacuzzi. The restaurant food is good. The staff very friendly.

Dinner menu was not good, very little choice especially for vegetarians, needs vast improvement. restaurant closing at 8pm is too early for such a hotel.

I suspect the beds are coming to the end of their serviceable life given the springs I could distinctly feel (they did seem to be comfortable other than the springs)

Sadly the room was a bit small, with a compact shower room. Beds were uncomfortable and in need of replacement. Sauna was out of use.

Excellent, helpful staff, all public areas were really good and clean. Spa and pool were small but very good. Didn't use the gym, but looked good quality machines with plenty of choice. Evening meals were very tasty and very reasonably priced.

Had to move room twice. Booked superior room, but after unpacking lightening caused power to go. So we were moved to standard room in hotel. Again, unpacked and settled in to discover as went to dinner that the door lock was faulty! Ashley, the receptionist, moved all our things very efficiently to another room.

Swimming pool and food good. Staff, especially Ashley in reception and Mick, the manager, were very helpful in putting right things that went wrong and the manager gave us a compensatory discount when we checked out.
