No door lock or even latch on bathroom door, one one bath towel, was a second in the wardrobe but must of been there a while as it smelt

I didn't like the fact we had to pay £10 per adult per visit to use the pool and 4 therapy rooms (sauna, steam room etc). For two adults and one night stay £40 was almost half the cost of our room on top to use the pool in the evening and then again in the morning meaning we had to pay twice

The rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel is lovely.

I have stayed at this hotel on business on numerous occasions. It is value for money, a good standard of food and accomodation. Always find the staff to be friendly and helpful. The Gym facilities are good

When we arrived the girl on the desk was quite rude and just barked out instructions on car parking and added costs to use the pool etc , if your going to have someone on the front desk representing the hotel , get someone who at least appears they want to be there !!

Although the spa was so relaxing, we had a great deal of difficulty trying to arrange spa treatments before we arrived due to lack of responses to calls and messages. This resulted in us only being able to have one massage.

All of the staff were amazing, particularly the bar staff. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms were incredibly clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious! The spa facilities were lovely.

Room 4. The sink was blocked, water didn't drain properly. No complimentary biscuits in the room or bottled water. No green tea. Bedside lamps didn't work. Drinks very expensive in the bar.

Receptionist was efficient and friendly. Spa facilities were good. Comfy bed. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Good size TV

After paying £120 for a hotel with a spa and swimming pool I expected for atleast the use of the swimming pool to be included in the price. Instead, only upon arrival I was told it would be an extra charge. When I enquired at the spa reception I was told it would be £10 each for me and my 10 year old. This information wasn't on my booking confirmation although it was on the welcome email, unfortunately I only recieved this email after 7pm on the day of my arrival. If I had known this information earlier I wouldn't have stayed as it made the booking out of my price range with the extra charge. I wanted to treat my daughter to a fun and relaxing experience of swimming and a night away, instead we got a night away in a room that hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests as there was a dirty towel, glass and a used straw in the wardrobe and rubbish in the bin.

Corridors and other parts of hotel in need of a makeover. looks tired Staff were friendly but did not look smart. More attention to personal appearance and uniforms would enhance perception. Service was not good, Three desserts came a different times, 10 minutes apart. Appeared to be a lack of management and organisation in the restaurant at Dinner. We had 4 different people , with a lack of continuity. Restaurant menu is restricted. On our visit 2 starters and one dessert off an already restrictive menu were not available More like a pub menu than a 4 star hotel

Room had been recently refurbished, , so it was in good condition. Good size room with a large window.

The double bed was two singles pushed together. We had to walk outside to go from the room to the main hotel and then through the restaurant/bar, then outside again to get to the spa. (Uncomfortable as we were wearing our spa robes and slippers) Breakfast was nice but very expensive for what it was. Not a lot of variety for hot food or bakery goods.

Spa was lovely. Didn’t get any treatments but the sauna was very hot and spacious. Had nut milks for breakfast. They had scrambled eggs made but offered poached and fried on request.

There was a lot of banging through the early hours whilst trying to sleep. Granted I didn't book an upgrade for a quiet room so the noise in the evening was expected i.e Noise and music from the function room however the banging throughout the early hours was not expected and as a light sleeper it was difficult to sleep. The staff were a bit full on. I get that some people like this but for me being approached so often was a little irritating. Dont get me wrong they were always friendly and helpful, I just prefer to be left to myself.

We didn't enjoy the spa facilities as the shower areas were dirty with excess hair. We also found Richard on the front desk of the spa very rude.

The breakfast wasn’t very good at all. The fried potatoes looked like they had been there for over a week, the not alot of choice with the fruit and yoghurt selection- tinniest amount of fruit available. They could really step it up when it comes to the breakfast.

The rooms were nice and big, the spa was nice. Couldn’t get a massage booking but I understand as I left it to last minute.

Couldn't get through to Room Service or Reception from room phone after arriving to my room to order room service. Tried for a good 15 minutes. Wasn't asked for feedback on check out either - not even asked how my stay was.

Variations in temperature in different parts of the hotel. Room was lovely and warm, the bar was distinctly chilly and only made tolerable by individual heaters which was not ideal.

The car park has flooded lighting, which is great but the light seemed to shine onto my suite window - the curtains were very thick but the light managed to shine through the edges of the curtains and light up my room. So instead of being a dark room, there seemed to be a lot of light shining through. I am a very light sleeper and my eyes are very light-sensitive at night, so this caused me an issue. Other people may have a different experience.

My room was upgraded to a suite at no extra cost - it was amazing. There was a gift basket waiting in my room - absolutely fantastic. The evening meal was lovely and the breakfast was really nice.
