Breakfast was not included but easy to add. Good selection and a menu to choose hot food. The food came rapidly after ordering. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything you might need.

Maybe warning of minimum toiletries. There was soap. There was tea/coffee maybe herbal teabags. Also maybe you have plans of recycling in the future.

Even though it was on a busy road i couldnt hear the traffic. The hotel was very dog friendly and 'Bella' was warmly welcomed. There was a dog bed, bowls, towels and treats with an option to buy. There was an additional heater in the room which i used as it got cold. Oh the decor was lovely. It was clean. The staff were brill.

£30 for two sounded very expensive for a breakfast. Especially when we are not big eaters

The food could have been a bit better in taste but other then that it was our second stay and another lovely stay too.

The lift was a little unsettling and maybe needs updating when funds allow. The whole building needs a little TLC but it wouldn't stop us from visiting again and we appreciate how the whole of Hospitality and Leisure Businesses have suffered since Covid and the Lockdown period. Still need to stress how lovely the staff were and all dressed nicely in uniforms.

We would like to compliment all of the staff that we came into contact with during our weekend stay, everyone was really helpful and upbeat, nothing was too much trouble. The Manager kindly put a heater in our room when we were feeling the cold. The senior waitress at breakfast, Linda, was very helpful and we shared some comical moments with her, all in good taste. Our evening meal in the bar was good and the breakfast choices were plentiful. The building is obviously well established and had some lovely features. We didn't use any of the spa facilities on this occasion.

The room was too small for two people , it smelled a little damp when we went in and the sink had a small bar of soap used by previous guests opened , and finally you could not see out of the room because of a very large fir tree.

Old- fashioned method of ordering drinks, food etc. at bar. Orders hand written onto NCR set , prices written down after consulting the menu , paid for & then manually taken to kitchen for processing . With 8 in the queue the time wasted is unacceptable in a hotel of this stature. Whatever happened to modern technology ?

Seemed to be short of staff when ordering food and drinks in the bar. I found it very strange to have a dog friendly restaurant/bar. In my opinion dogs and restaurants do not go together.

My room door wouldn’t lock from the inside. No bedside lamp, nor bedside socket (for phone). Hot/cold indicator on bath/shower tap was wrong way round! (Wondered why I was struggling to adjust the temperature!). Poor lighting in bathroom - had to use main bedroom mirror to put on make-up. Wifi was poor. Hand towels were frayed. Hotel corridors are a bit of a rabbit warren, signage not great.

My cooked breakfast was great - scrambled eggs were perfect. Big bath towels (sheets). Nice thick loo paper. Good size room. Bed comfy. Quick and easy check-in.

The pool was a little dirty and some of the ledges were broken so a little dangerous. The room was lovely but we did find a few things that the previous occupants must have left behind so we questioned the cleanliness a little. Overall a little dated but still a nice stay!

Staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. A real credit to the hotel! Breakfast was spot on, well cooked and delicious.
