Lovely location and dogs very welcome!! We ate in the Snug. The food was very good and the service too!! Breakfast was ok but I was bit disappointed no breakfast sausage for the dog 🐶!!

There was only one member of staff and they were trying their best to juggle reception, serving food and run the bar. They were however very helpful and accommodating when you eventually managed to find them. The mattress was a little tired and not very comfy but I still managed a quiet nights sleep.

Clean, nice location and historic house. I will stay again. Meals were good quality and well priced. Breakfast more than you could ask for. Staff member very helpful.

I'm disappointed that there we're no food options on a Sunday evening and the bar wasn't even open for residents when we came down at 7pm. This meant we had to walk to the local village and we would of much preferred to stay on site.

We arrived to find a funeral wake taking place. Lots of very noisy people filling the lounge and bar area. We were told that the restaurant would be open from 6pm. When we went to the restaurant there was no availability till 7pm as we were told that they were very busy. We agreed to wait and at 7pm we ordered our food. We waited a further 45 minutes and when I enquired the waitress told me that our food had not been started. I cancelled our order. The waitress apologised and us complimentary glasses of wine and crisps to take back to our room. The breakfast the next morning was very disappointing.

The staff here esp Ollie made staying here first class, attentive, friendly and informative. Food was great esp due to the restaurant serving a party of 11 at the same time with only Ollie to serve front of house, bar and restaurant. Bed and pillows most comfortable ever had, location is fantastic and I can not wait to return.

Unfortunately quite a lot of the food menu was unavailable including fish and chips (just chips in general), pizzas. The coffee machine was broken and unfortunately the young staff weren't too used to a cafetiere. But they were more than happy to try their best!

The hotel was lovely, clean, comfortable, really cosy! Staff friendly....

The temperature was hard to adjust on shower, TV wouldn't turn of with remote and also losing signal a lot, and squeeky floor boards and the breakfast was awful 😕

Breakfast was very good. Parking was easy with plenty of space. Location was ideal with the centre of the village a short walk away.

There is no 24 hour reception, therefore difficult to get information if you need it. The Wi-Fi code didn’t work, and the front door is very stiff and had to be pushed hard to open.

Ideal location for us to visit family nearby. The room, which had a sofa and a king size bed, was a good size.

Stayed in a courtyard room and could unfortunately hear every footstep of creaky floorboards, taps on and off etc. Was very noisy and didn’t get the best sleep due to this. Could do with some soundproofing. Lights in courtyard were constantly on and off also with people coming and going.

Lovely location, clean and comfortable room, breakfast was very nice. Great outdoor area for sitting out and for the dogs.
