Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWasn’t a major issue but more consideration from the staff from the Tesco branch below (Lorrie’s delivering, locking up at 11.10pm) wouldn’t go a miss with regards to noise
Beautiful apartment Very modern, high end finish, comfortable beds, lovely village, various restaurants/pubs, around 20-45 mins drive from various attractions in the counties surrounding Shipston.

United KingdomThe accommodation is situated above a Tesco Express store and this resulted in quite a lot of noise from customers and from the shop itself. We were disturbed by the moving of stock cages and a constant bleeping sound late evening and early morning. Also we had our car blocked in on a couple of occasions from customers using the car park.
The accommodation was top notch. Every aspect had been thought of and it was extremely well appointed. We had all our needs met and were very comfortable. Exceptionally clean and welcoming place to stay.

United KingdomHad some issue with Booking. It’s offering it for 4 people (adults) when after talking to Anna it’s only thought for 2 adults and 2 kids. Anna even offered to cancel if we had another option (thanks!) but since we didn’t, we made it work as best we could. Not her fault but something that must have changed in the configuration used by Booking. We also didn’t manage to make the hot water work in the shower after the first 2 people had a conservative shower. Not sure what it was. Talked to Anna who suggested a couple of things, it worked in the night but still had the same issue the following morning…don’t know what caused the issue 🤷🏼♀️
Anna is a superb host. Always available and helpful. Every detail in the property has been carefully selected, it’s in the middle of Shipston on Stour with every shop/restaurant next door but still in a quiet and nice area where you can rest after a day of tourism.

GermanyThe bed was a bit small for two people and the apartments are directly at the main street so sometimes it was a bit louder due to traffic. But we slept in the other bedroom and on this side it was quiet and you couldn't hear the traffic.
It was really comfortable, very clean and it had everything you needed for a good stay. The conversation with Anna was really good, she answered quickly and had a lot of recommendations for the surroundings:-) It was easy to charge the car (you just have to ask Anna and pay upfront) and it is a good place for touring the Cotswolds.

The property, entrance and outside space was clean, modern and stylish. Everything you required was in the apartment including a fully fitted kitchen oil and spices, washing up equipment and dishwasher with pods. Lovely toiletries were available for use, that just make the stay a little bit special. The location was private and very easy to find with reserved parking spaces close to the property. I couldn’t fault it.

United KingdomInitially, i was a little put off at the apartment being above a Tesco express thinking there might be lots of noise from the shop but we didn't hear a thing, and as soon as we walked in and saw how beautiful it was we didn't care and in fact it was actually very convenient having the shop which is open till 11pm.
There is nothing not to like about this apartment, it is exceptional!!! We stayed for two nights to explore some of the nearby villages of the cotswolds. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The apartment is a 2 minute walk from the bars/restaurants/shops in the little town of Shipston on Stour, perfect location. The apartment itself is absolutely stunning, the decor is beautiful, so cosy and homely and everything from the heating system to the toilet seat is high spec. Everything we needed was readily available from the iron and ironing board, hairdryer, all cooking equipment and utensils, the owners even left a welcome hamper with tea coffee milk biscuits etc. The owner contacted us to make sure we'd got settled ok and told us to get in touch if we needed anything. You also get your own designated parking space on the tesco carpark. Definitely recommend 👌

PolandEverything was great overall. The only small issue was at the beginning — it took us a while to figure out how to unlock the door, as the instructions weren’t entirely clear. Also, the stairs to the top floor might not be suitable for those who have difficulty climbing. Otherwise, a lovely stay!
One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Immaculately clean, with thoughtful details throughout. I was especially impressed by the brand-new pans and cookware – something you rarely find in rental apartments. Comfortable bed, fresh linens. Just perfect.

United KingdomIt was a little hot for sleeping the first night but we adjusted the temperature and it was perfect afterwards.
The flats have been created with care and with an eye to quality. In apartment 1 there is a Japanese loo which was great fun!! The shower is spacious and easy to use.. The bed was comfortable. I liked the view over the adjacent rooftops and down the street. I loved everything about this place. There was a TV in both the sitting room and the bedroom but we didn't have time to watch either. There is plenty to do in the Cotswolds. It was ideal for different generations of family to get together as there are 3 apartments above the shop. (You need to be able to walk up stairs.)

United KingdomOn arrival we were a bit confused as there was a lock box AND a door code but the owners had shared the door code with us so that was fine. The door code to the apartment itself (not the on street door) was a bit hard to read in the beautiful sunshine we had, but a keypad is a keypad! Be aware that the wet room gets VERY slippery and if you are travelling with older family members as we were we would suggest you take care - maybe a grab rail in the shower area would help? DEFINITELY use the bath mat provided!
We were directly above a Tesco Express which was fantastic for getting bits and pieces that you needed and very close to other places to eat such as a pub and a fish and chip shop. We thought it might be a bit noisy, and yes, you can hear the shop opening as the stillage cages are moved about but this is minor. Shipston is a lovely central location for getting out and about - we were there for a wedding so didn't really explore much but would definitely come again. Really high-end fixtures and fittings (luxurious!) and a TV in both bedrooms and living area were a nice touch. The welcome pack with biscuits, coffee pods and teabags plus a little bottle of milk was a nice touch too.

United KingdomThere was an intermittent noise all night which can be heard from the back bedroom, probably from the Tesco downstairs.
The Appartment is spotlessly clean and well appointed. It is located over a small Tesco, there is a parking space outside which you can cone off when you go out. It's in the centre of the village so very convenient.
