How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was an electric heater in my room, so I could regulate temperature of the room on my own.

It was as expected really.
Great location. Easy to find. Clean & comfy and comfortable. We had 2 rooms on the top floor (4th I think). WiFi was good. Very quiet. We had the window open all night and slept well. No noisy buses and no drunk people outside (Saturday night!) :) Rooms are small, but for location and price, it was good.

Some maintenance is needed. Dogdy window handle needs repairing. Bed could have been more comfortable (very springy mattress), but when I woke up there were no lingering comfort issues.
Very nice low price. Nice quiet area (a couple of blocks from the main roads really dampens the traffic noise) but still very close to Kings Cross/St. Pancras, and to some extent, Euston, giving good access to intercity and Underground lines. Luggage was stored after checkout for just £5 which made my final day much easier.

The facilities are tired to say the least. A sign on the door said 'put your valuables in the safe' I found the safe, on its side in the wardrobe with no power so a waste of time. I ended taking my laptop with me for the day. Annoyingly (not the hotels fault) I can't upload any pictures whilst doing this review. See below. Samsung S22 pictures so should upload easy enough.
Location was 5 - 6 minutes walk from King's Cross and finding the hotel was straight forward. Kings Cross is a noisy area and I'm a light sleeper but found the room very quiet on the whole and had 2 amazing nights sleep without the earplugs I'd brought along. Checking in and out was hassle free and the staff was friendly. Overall I wanted an affordable, no thrills, but safe, clean and quiet stay for work and that's what I got so 'job done'

Was a bit too tight för 3 persons The room was somewhere in the celler and the smell in the corridors was awful, took some time to get used to it. The window’s lock didn’t work so it was unpleasant to sleep knowing that it was open

There is a major building works just across the street, so I think they woke me up a bit earlier than was ideal. (7:45 rather than 8:30)
Perfectly pleasant room, 5 mins from Kings Cross. With wifi and coffee/tea/hot-chocolate included for only £45 at 10 mins notice at 11pm. That's pretty good for London. I was stranded by a train strike and this was a great option at a very reasonable price. Nothing fancy but to be honest it was nicer than I expected.

Hallway to underground room smelled of sewage. Very small shower, with poor water pressure. Breakfast was not worth the £5.
Location is fantastic for St Pancras. 24-hour check is also very convenient!

They should say they charge for luggage storage on site. It makes a substantial extra for a service that is usually free. Water pressure was poor. Took a long time to refill toilet cistern. Sound proofing is limited
Room was basic, but sufficient. Heating worked well.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable and noise bled from other rooms which was bothersome (it was fine once other guests had settled down). Also the en-suite door didn't close or lock properly, not the biggest deal-breaker but a bit surprising.
The location, staff, facilities and general comfort were good. I never felt cold in the room.

Double room was extremely small without even the smallest table or any else space to lay some things.
Very comfortable location. The bed quite good. Basic breakfast (no eggs, no yogurt, no fruit or vegetables), but good enough.
