Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. Nothing really.
The location and accessibility. The vicinity to Royal Mile was very convenient. A few hood restaurants close by away from Royal Mile - Ciao Roma suggested by Priya at the reception desk was very good. The hotel was very clean. The room was small, but comfortable. We were three of us and the hotel had opened up the soda bed. There should be good space without it. The bathroom was well appointed and clean and modern. Breakfast is basic - cereals, juices, yogurt, coffee machine, scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, sausage, toasts, muffins, croissants. There’s plenty to start the day right. A shout out to Priya at the front desk for a good check-in and check-out experience, suggestions for restaurants, etc.

Thought they could provide a refrigerator and a few more toiletries.
The location was very good. Close to the train and bus station. Also close to the Kings Mile st. Many restaurants and shops. Close to cathedral and many other sights to see. The staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was very nice.

Booked through booking.com & reception struggled initially, stating found my name but asked me for my password?, after I’d twice given booking reference & shown booking details on phone. Another receptionist colleague then assisted them & directed receptionist how to process on computer, however this initial booking-in struggle did initially make me quite anxious after a long journey. Smooth sailing thereafter & staff were very helpful in explaining location of breakfast area, breakfast times, room number & which floor, where lift located, main door closing times, how to enter premises thereafter, organising a immediate taxi as running late for theatre & providing a sanitary item discreetly in an envelope which I’d forgotten. As in previous question, some items not available on cooked breakfast, different type of egg as only scrambled, no tomatoes, nor black pudding, haggis, potato scone, no semi-skimmed milk. Spilt tea stain on bedroom floor & sofa arm slightly marked but spacious room. Appreciated design of bathroom door, whereby you can close off toilet section if sharing a room & other person is left with a closed off sink & shower area. Thoughtful.
Breakfast option good, however cooked breakfast choice of scrambled egg type only, prefer poached, some guests may prefer poached or fried. Beans only, prefer tomato. No black pudding or haggis available. Good choice of breads, teas including earl grey tea 👍. Full fat & oat milk available, prefer semi-skinned in cup of tea. Hairdryer, ironing board & iron in room. 👍
