The room was just incredibly basic. Bed, bathroom and some packet coffees and UHT milk which tasted off. Room walls were also very thin, I could hear the conversations of the couple next door word for word.

The Concierge at the front desk was lovely! He was very helpful and always smiling

The shower in room 18 had low water pressure, more of a trickle. Not a big problem but it did take me a tad longer to wash in the morning.

Great location, really friendly staff and altogether a nice warm and comfortable room. The hotel manager also was very friendly and booked me a cab at short notice when I had to rush to a meeting. The bed was also very comfortable.

The water was not good. Poor pressure, not warm. Took me hours to take my bath in the morning so I was very late for my business. I could bath in the night as it was cold water.

The Internet worked well. The bed / bedding is good. The TV working, but the channels, well they didn't show any sports.

Good location, close to town and beach. Hill was a bit of a killer but a good workout at the end of our day!

Bathroom was clean and tidy, but this would be the only part of the room I would say would benefit from an upgrade. Would also be nice if parking was included with the stay.

Room met my expectations and the location to the town and seaside was excellent.

The only negative was that our room opened on to the reception area. Consequently we heard talking at reception quite early in the morning. However, everything else was good and we would happily stay at the Fairmount again.

A bit noisy one night young lads next door kept us awake banging doors loud talking until 4 am but to be honest the hotel caters for large groups for hen do’s and stag weekends . Perfect for a group of young ones. We were 2 pensioners . But enjoyed our stay .

The bathroom was clean but not super clean, the room (we had two singles) would have struggled to fit a cat in it let alone swing it around. I think the hotel is aimed at groups planning a night out in the town, and it fits that model well, so expect thin walls and the possibility of drunken people talking loudly. (Although on our 2nd night there was a large group of lads staying and we never heard a sound out of them when they rolled in). Only having one key between us was pain and be prepared to pay an extra £10 for parking per night

It was super convenient for conference and conference hotel. The room was basic cheap and clean (but very small).

A few improvements would be: a toilet roll holder, somewhere to hang your towel, a bath mat and a tooth glass.
