The only thing was we could hear road noise at night and sometimes very loud . it’s a shame they wasn’t a bath in the room , could of done with a long soak after all the walking we did , we didn’t use the car once …

Andrew the owner made us both feel exceptionally welcome & always tended to your needs. The property is lovely you sit out in the garden and chill out . The room was clean . Breakfast was exceptional. we really enjoyed our stay with Andrew thank you for your hospitality it was a pleasure to meet and stay at your place . free car parking which is great because not many places have this .

Everything was perfect

The whole stay was just perfect, we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was an issue from start to finish. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was freshly cooked for you.

Everything was amazing I would recommend to everyone the only thing to consider for those with mobility issues it is situated on a hill.

The host Andrew was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and the choices available were exceptional I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Comfortable and spacious room. Good location, just a short walk to shops and the harbour. The host, Andrew, was so accommodating and friendly. Great breakfast with a lot of different options available.

That it was on the top floor so lots of stairs and had a slanted ceiling bit of a struggle for my husband who is very tall. But he stayed over the one side so not a big deal. The toilet was blocked and this was a bit inconvenient but to be fair the owner was sorting it out as soon as he was told and also offered us another room if it couldn't be sorted by the time we got back in, we didn't use the other room as all was good. We were told we would get some kind of reduction on the room for the inconvenience but this hasn't been done as yet.

The owner was very friendly and courteous couldn't do enough for you the Hotel was spotlessly clean the beds very comfy with lovely clean sheets the towels were white and fluffy. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. The Hotel is based at the top end of Town so a nice little walk to Town centre, harbour and seafront I would highly recommend the Ferndale Lodge and would also return I thoroughly enjoyed the trip as did my husband and our two friends who had twin room number 1 on the ground floor and said it was a lovely room.

The toilet in the bedroom had glass in the door and it felt uncomfortable with little privacy.

The only minor point was just the bedroom carpet could have done with a really good vacuum.

Lovely accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, room serviced daily with nice little touches, such as complimentary biscuits, shower gels and bottled water. Nice powerful shower, great choices at breakfast and good quality food. Quiet at nights for sleeping. The property has a bar service and also a kitchen that guests can use. Decent location, about 15-20 mins walk from the harbour through the town centre, but can’t complain for the price. Would happily stay here again.

All was good, the hotel is in a good location, but I struggled a little with my breathing going up the hill from town as I have respiratory problems. We had the smallest of the double rooms, it was adequate, fit for purpose, perhaps too small for me as my wife and I are not small people. One thing I would comment about breakfast, AND THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION, I was not overly keen on ordering my breakfast the day before (sorry Andrew 😐)

Tastefully decorated, clean, warm and cosy, we were very surprised with the breakfast menu with choices like smoked salmon and avocados, cooked breakfast was exceptional and not greasy, a good choice of cereals, yogurt, nuts, and to top it all, Hanukkah honey (never seen that in any hotel, including 5 & 6 stars), well done on this one.

It is situated on a very steep hill which was hard going more than once a day but that may have been mentioned on the website but I didn't see it if it did so can't really criticise as it would be my fault for not noticing

Lovely place, all that you need from a few nights away. Tasty breakfast, plenty of choice.
