They didn’t do any cleaning in room whilst we were there and had to ask for clean towels at reception. Seemed low on staff generally.

Good location for our needs and good parking, so would stay again. Room was small, but functional. Overall was nice enough small hotel.

This is probably more booking.com’s fault but I had specifically ordered a family room with two beds and upon arrival was given a plain double and I had not planned to share a bed with a colleague! Nothing could be done and there wasn’t even an apology.

The property was catering for an event I was attending and the food was very good.

Bad points for the room, we didn’t have a mattress protector or an under sheet on the bed. Also had dinner in the restaurant but had to wait a hour for our food, was offered a free drink for this but then when the order arrived they got mine wrong but I had already waited an hour I couldn’t wait another one.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the bath was lovely. We enjoyed the breakfast

Had to pay to park my car overnight which I wasn't expecting. The bar wasn't open when I returned from my meal. The view from the window was of a roof.

Having to pay for car parking and being sent out to the machine to do it ourselves in the dark and rain when it could have been done at reception. Not having bedside lights. I had to stop reading because the overhead light disturbed my companion.

The location was perfect for us. We were very comfortable in a convenient ground floor room. We had a pleasant meal in the restaurant. The breakfast was very good. It is a dog friendly hotel which is why we chose it.

Being kept up all night by the people in the room above me. Luckily this came to an end around 04:30am when the police arrived and arrested the guest.

I was disappointed that room service was not available but there was a note in the room to advise guests could order food at the bar and take it up to their room. The cold tap on the bath was not fixed to the bath and span round when I turned it to the on position and the shower was difficult to turn on. The breakfast was OK. The cooked option was luke warm, as was the coffee, and the eggs were too salty but that may be a personal preference.

The room was clean and turned out nicely. The staff were all very polite and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good temperature. I ordered dinner to take up to my room and the food was delicious, hot and well presented.

Room cleanliness needs improving, everything was layered with dust, towel rail, room phone, remote control. Kettle full of scale, looked like it had never been de-scaled. The iron was great and worked like a dream.

The staff were very friendly. The kitchen produced some ecellent food. I wasn't aware the room would not be made up during my stay - apparently it is written in the print on a letter in the room. The radiator heating didn't work and nor did the heated towel rail. I reported both of these and then followed up to ask if they had been looked at but nobody confirmed thatit had been looked at. Second night was very cold and both faults were still present.

Would be nice to see a smile and people interested in their job at the bar & checking out. Room 37 needs toilet roll handle fixing & bath soak away needs attention as it took 30 minutes to empty bath. Tv remote not working. When breakfast staff topped up the bread, left thumb print in bread! Known this property for over 50 years, really needs a lot of tlc & new carpets on stairs & corridors. Booked elsewhere for next 3 Warrington visits.

The food. it was very very basic. I ordered chicken wings which were deep fried to the max. I had curry for main and it was microwaved to the point it was too hot to eat. had to slow it to rest for at least 5 mins. I know it’s ordered in microwave meal but have some imagination ant prepare as no present it with a bit of care.

young lady on reception was very attentive and the manager was good. if they seem to be fighting an uphill battles.

breakfast only had 1 muller light yoghurt and a small scoop of granola no drinks £ 10 not good value lady said its either £10 or £ 14 so couldn't charge me differently , she could have discretionarily charge me for a soft drink to cover the cost this is what i would call service . £ 10 A DISGRACE

Room was slightly small. Luckily it was only 3 people in a 4-person room. If we'd had a 4th person it would've been a bit claustrophobic. Room was slightly tired with small bits of wallpaper hanging off. A bit of glue to stick them back down wouldn't hurt. Place is a bit creaky and the room doors are loud! Got woken up a few times. Worst thing was the food ingredients. Clearly cheap and ultra-low quality. Still went down OK for me and the kids as we're not fussy, but it was noticed by quite a few others.

Despite the mild negatives that I've explained, if I was back in Warrington and needed a room I'd stay there again because: Staff are brilliant. Friendly, professional, well presented, easy-going and helpful. By far the biggest asset of the hotel! Seating areas inside and out were quite nice. Front of the hotel is a great afternoon sun trap. Shower controls were a bit tired, but it was powerful enough with good supplies of hot water despite the hotel being full. Staff available with all-night bar, and they didn't mind our drunken silliness!
