The building was quite warm and stuffy when I first walked in however it got cooler when I was in my room. I think it's just the opening hallway that suffers from that. There were some other people staying there who were shouting while I was downstairs and I overheard them. It was a bit concerning but it never went past that, nothing physical as far as I know and it never became a problem for me so, as far as I know, it's fine.

The staff were very casual, friendly and were very straight forward with what was expected of people who stayed there. The room was cozy and the bed was VERY comfortable. For the price it was an absolute bargain. The free breakfast was the best part of my stay. It was supposed to be just for the morning but the staff allowed me to eat whenever I wanted and I was very grateful, as I was low on cash and very hungry :)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was excellent, providing ample space and a pleasant atmosphere. The complimentary WiFi was a great addition, allowing me to stay connected easily. Additionally, the breakfast provided was not only delicious but also convenient as it allowed me to prepare and enjoy meals in the comfort of my room. Overall, a delightful experience in a nice location.

It's the mattresses that let this place down. I'd say they are all old and need replacing. Specify you want a firm one when you book and I'm sure the manager will try to help you. They replaced the single immediately as it was ancient. The replacement was only slightly better and we knew the manager had done all he could to help us. The double was only really suitable for one person as with two you ended up in the middle of the mattress, for one it was good. The owners could do a lot better.

We had room 4, upstairs,a triple or family room with a small double and a single bed, ensuite. There are three triple rooms, No1 -ground floor at the front, No2 -ground floor at the back and more quiet and Room4 upstairs at the front. Traffic can be noisy. We were there in November and the heating was 24hrs in all areas. Good kitchen with all you need, oven, cooktop, microwave. Washing machine and dryer. Two large 2-door fridges, plenty of breakfast food provided. Everything very, very clean. Good furniture in public area's. Parking at the door. Station short walk and 30mins to Victoria. Supermarket nearby. Wifi reasonable. Terrific manager, very efficient. Our thanks to him for a comfortable stay.

Some of the fixtures and fittings were well worn and needed updating. Needed some extra cleaning in places. The tap in the sink was loose.

Location was good for the purpose of my visit. Plenty of shops nearby. Self service fridge and kitchen had ample supplies of food and utensils. Very good setup. Staff member I met was very helpful. I would definitely stay again

The bed was dreadful. Springs hardly covered with any softness,and difficult to find a comfortable position. A shame that enough money not spent on such an important aspect of a hotel.

Perfect location for train service,(2 mins walk) close to lots of shops too,lots of eating places on the doorstep. Rooms are basic,but clean & very friendly staff! Added bonus of making your own breakfast! Fridge was well topped up with eggs,bacon,bread,cheese,jam,fruit juices & milk. Tea & coffee ready available too. Easy check in & out,can come & go as you please!
