Very poor breakfast selection Hotel massively overpriced for what it actually is

Breakfast was fine but it gave the impression of little cutbacks. No paper delivery?

Room was good size, very comfortable, great bathroom. Bar staff were really helpful as were receptionists and the dining staff. Location is convenient for the Aintree races.

Restaurant dinner menus didn’t have much variety and quite expensive so we chose not to eat here . Breakfast was very good however

Coffee machine useless…room thermostat useless…noise in corridor bad!

Room was good…though noisy when ever anyone talks in corridor or opens a door! Like an echo chamber…! Also the thermostat in room is a nightmare…never can work it out…room was too hot all night…needs to be a simple up or down temperature! Basic stuff ! Breakfast great as now self serve…much better…coffee machine totally useless… as never hit enough and tasted real bad…! Toaster also never correct…either white toast or turns black after 2 Rotations! How hard can it be ! Fruit was also poor…everything else was great…

Wifi was a bit weak... but it was not really an issue as we were having a break.

Spacious room, very clean and comfy. We enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna included as facilities.

When we arrived at 5pm, the room had not been later out as we had requested. The previous occupants room service had not been moved from outside the room. Also the bathroom was flooded by a guest upstairs leaving water running

Room Phone was not working in the room to call reception. Reported this, was told it is working. It wasn't Layout is good, but children's bed was right in front of tv, stopping us from watching it when they were asleep. Shower power was very low, no pressure at all. Also no amenities in the bathroom, had to go downstairs to reception to ask for a shower cap (phone was not working) - they didn't have any. Swimming/sauna/gym facilities are located in a separate building, it's the next building but you do have to come out to get to it. It does have changing rooms, not the cleanest I've seen and a few lockers were broken, but ok. Jacuzzi was good, button was broken. Steam room had broken cold tap, ice tap broken.

Only a minor thing but I would have preferred fresh milk for tea and coffee as there was a fridge in the room.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful The grounds were beautiful Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice Good to have access to leisure centre We also had an afternoon tea which was really enjoyable particularly the pastries

The hotel is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable and a good size. The breakfast had a good selection and the bar was good. The staff were very helpful and approachable.

As vegetarians the cooked breakfast was limited - it would have been nice to have a cooked veggie option. i.e veggie sausages.

The bar was understaffed, the bar staff appeared new and took a really long time to serve drinks.

We booked this hotel as we wanted nice spa facilities. Unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn't working which was a bit of a bummer. Also after I used the pool I went to get a shower and as I came out there was a male worker in the changing rooms. I found this quite uncomfortable as I wasn't prepared with just a towel half wrapped around me/ there was no sign to inform me beforehand. I think the changing rooms should be temporarily closed in future if opposite gender staff are in there.

The room was lovely, great size and very comfortable. Dinner was really tasty and the location is beautiful.

The spa facilities are decent enough but I wouldn't come here just for a spa break. One of the rooms didn't seem to be working, but no signs. The glass to the sauna would be better if it was misted so it's a little more private. The mamma mia party night was a great night, the three girls singing were great but the acting was very odd...nothing to do with mamma mia and a creepy guy calling himself Nico walking around harassing everyone. It would have been much better with out him and if there were some scenes from mamma mia or just no acting at all. This event I believe was a company that formby hall brought in externally. The main meal food was nice enough but the desert "buffet" was terrible. We could only have one thing and the cheese cake I chose was very strange and still frozen.

The rooms were really comfortable and very spacious. The food in the bar and our breakfast the next morning was lovely. We had a great night for my sons birthday at the mamma mia night. The resident dj saved the night. The girls singing were really good.

Could have had more staff for the night event queue for the bar was long at times. It would have been better if there was an option to pre-order drinks to the table to avoid the long queues.

Nice and relaxing stay. Really comfy beds. Nice big room. It was useful to have a mini fridge. Event night was really good fun and it was very organised with getting food from the buffet.
