The location was easy to find. I adored the ambience and aura of the interior. The attention to detail or the sightly quirky musician and artist I am, was perfect

The property comes with a sofa bed as advertised on site but you then get charged an extra £20 for laundry cleaning the bedding of the sofa bed. Think that cost should be more apparent on site. Also location of the bedding for sofa bed could be more apparent

location , lovely area and ideal for on ward travel

Lovely bijou cottage and averageish price for Calstock.

It was a bit chilly downstairs. The radiator wasn't quite up to the task. It would have been great if the woodburner was available to light but there were no logs and a big vase of dried flowers in front of it made it seem like it hadn't been in use for a good while.

The host Iain amazingly helpful. Very atmospheric bijou cottage. The terrace with iron table and chairs. The shower.

It wasn’t an issue for us but just be aware the stairs are a little steep!

The cottage is in a beautiful quiet location, we arrived to a lovely welcoming ambiance and some delicious scones with fresh clotted cream and jam! Everything you need has been provided from an array of teas and coffees to endless toiletries and lots of reading materials, playing cards and puzzles. We were overwhelmed with the attention to detail and extra care taken to make you feel right at home. We were especially impressed as it was a last minute booking but it was obvious the hosts had taken the time to ensure everything ran smoothly. The village itself is picturesque like something out of a movie!

Only slight difficulty was accessing the key as it was in a lockbox that was quite stiff and difficult to open but nothing major and I did manage to open it (so it could very well have been more ‘user error’). All in all it was a lovely stay.

Really nice little place and really cosy and quaint. It had a very nice feel and a lovely atmosphere. Perfectly located for the occasion. Really liked the music playing from the radio on arrival and the treats that had been left.

    Dangerous and cramped.

Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. No parking. We are in our early seventies and fit, yet the walk from the car park is at least 5 minutes away and uphill. Tiring, especially with luggage. The bedroom leads straight onto the stairs with a steep step immediately outside the threshold which is dangerous. Despite remembering for three nights of our stay, I forgot (going to the bathroom half asleep in the middle of the night) on the final night and fell down the stairs causing severe bruising to lower back, a swollen ankle and painful thumb/hand. Luckily nothing was broken but the shock was great. There was no table to eat on and hardly any work surface due to lack of space generally and clutter. Also no hanging space - the only hangers were above a shelf which was full of dried flowers. And finally, the whole cottage smelt strongly of air fresheners.

A comfortable bed and lovely pillows.
